It is a gorgeous mansion. Truly sad to see a family legacy abandoned like that. In the south it is very common to find family graves on properties that are vast. I'm from the south and my family had its own before the division of land and selling of the "old home place". However the cemetery remains untouched and we still visit our loved ones. Lovely home. And I'm glad you saw the south as more than a place of racism. Most of us are full of love toward one another and each person we encounter. It's not always the case but my faith in the Lord commands us to love one another and refers to us as brothers and sisters, I can not see it any other way. Wonderful video! It wasn't difficult to envision the splendor that beautiful house had in its heyday and envision the activities that must have taken place there throughout the years. And it's just a fact of life that very old family cemeteries -- or very old graves in general -- are forgotten about and not maintained, simply because there's nobody left who remembers or cares about who's buried there. You made the statement that you would hope that someone would visit your grave at least once a year, and of course they will for a time. Yet inevitably the visits will stop and you'll be consigned to the scrapheap of history, as we all will. Such is life, my friend. Thanks Steve!
