@@MommaC1106 it's true, they do the date thing just to cover their a**es. It's all about liability, all company's do it, large & small. You kind of can't blame them though with a lot of people that are ready to sue at the drop of a hat. Those people are just looking for what they consider free & fast money, even if it takes 5+ years. Most are phoney or fraudulent injury claims. But to get back to the subject, yes, that's actually a "sell by" date & the food should be good for a year after the date posted.

This property is an amazing insight into the life of a complete bachelor, living an outdoor, thrill seeking life, probably youngish. I don't know how he died, but I hope he wasn't in pain. It seems so sad and lonely that his closest living relative is overseas and there is no family close enough to handle the packing up of his life. You are doing a great service, Alex and family.

Hi Alex, another great series! About the canned corned beef - that product has been in most major grocery stores for as long as I can remember. I can’t digest beef anymore but when I could we ate it fairly often with potato hash and a little bit of tomato paste. It was delicious.

My congregation, and MANY others in the Olympia/Tacoma/Seattle area helped a lot of Ukraine refugees a few months ago and its a wonderful feeling to help them! So glad to see you are doing the same. Shows a kind, generous heart, which you have shown so much in the past. I had a 1996 Crown Victoria that I loved and would have liked to have kept. It got better mileage than my 2015 Ford Escape Titanium!! Anyhow--a lot of people are benefiting from this house and that's wonderful to see. 🙂

Always load your trailer with the heavy items forward. If the rear is loaded heavy it can make the trailer pop off. Make sure the trailer ball is the correct size for the trailer as they vary. I was a semi truck driver a very long time ago. Good job keeping it under control and keeping everyone safe. Not easy to do when the trailer falls off.

Yup, Gramps said " the load should be as close to the engine as possible" and if you're hauling one horse in a 2 horse trailer, the load goes behind the driver, the high side of the crown of the road. Happy Trails.

Temove the records from the covers and then dry the slips in your airing cupboard, or in a very warm room and then dry rub off the mould outside of the house . That way, you'll save the cover slip for the records of value.

If u add that corned beef to a head of cabbage with butter after u boil it , it makes wonderful yummy corn beef and cabbage prefect for cold weather. My husband was an excellent cook and would make that for us along with so many other winter dishes. His potato soup was the best along with his chili and so much more. But I always loved his corned beef and cabbage. So dang good and great with corn bread.

Just discovered your channel. This was a great investment for you in this house. I think you have made your money back in the cars and motorcycles and tools. WOW, I've never seen this many tools outside a professional mechanic's garage. I'm thinking you need t look closer in the desk and other furniture for hidden cash. That electric guitar will bring a nice penny. I would like to stumble across something like this. I did see an old Chevrolet Corvair in an old wooden garage that was lean way to one side. Wonderful to donate all this stuff. The record covers may be salvageable. I have a trunk with a collection of very old family photo albums at our summer home but when covid hit we didnt open the house until July so it was quite damp . I didnt realize the inside of the trunk was damp until the following summer when I opened it up. It was just starting to get musty and a bit moldy. I took everything out one at a time, wiped each cover off very carefully with water and I think vinegar and then set them out leaning against walls and table legs on the floor for several weeks until they had completely dried out. i made sure that they didnt touch each other. It worked but now they live on a shelf in a cupboard. Still dark as old photos and paper can be damaged by sunlight.

It’s surprising but watching movies and music will even help with language skills sometimes. My daughter taught English in Ukraine in Peace Corps for few years and that is one thing she told me. They often had cartoons even for the younger children on weekend. It was a school that boarded children from the whole district. Otherwise kids couldn’t get to school being so far from towns out on farms. There were also locals who attended. She taught 3rd level to graduation and has been home for 10 years and some kids keep in touch with her.

I am loving this series! You have the gift of making things interesting and entertaining, Alex! PS I’m glad the trailer mishap caused you no great injury - that’s scary stuff.
