Dates on cans is sell by Date usually good about a year or so later, I was told🙏🙏
@lanitaorjeraldlewisdillorl2258 Жыл бұрын
@@MommaC1106 it's true, they do the date thing just to cover their a**es. It's all about liability, all company's do it, large & small. You kind of can't blame them though with a lot of people that are ready to sue at the drop of a hat. Those people are just looking for what they consider free & fast money, even if it takes 5+ years. Most are phoney or fraudulent injury claims. But to get back to the subject, yes, that's actually a "sell by" date & the food should be good for a year after the date posted.

Always load your trailer with the heavy items forward. If the rear is loaded heavy it can make the trailer pop off. Make sure the trailer ball is the correct size for the trailer as they vary. I was a semi truck driver a very long time ago. Good job keeping it under control and keeping everyone safe. Not easy to do when the trailer falls off.
@circlethewagons Жыл бұрын
Yup, Gramps said " the load should be as close to the engine as possible" and if you're hauling one horse in a 2 horse trailer, the load goes behind the driver, the high side of the crown of the road. Happy Trails.

Wonderful to donate all this stuff. The record covers may be salvageable. I have a trunk with a collection of very old family photo albums at our summer home but when covid hit we didnt open the house until July so it was quite damp . I didnt realize the inside of the trunk was damp until the following summer when I opened it up. It was just starting to get musty and a bit moldy. I took everything out one at a time, wiped each cover off very carefully with water and I think vinegar and then set them out leaning against walls and table legs on the floor for several weeks until they had completely dried out. i made sure that they didnt touch each other. It worked but now they live on a shelf in a cupboard. Still dark as old photos and paper can be damaged by sunlight.

It’s surprising but watching movies and music will even help with language skills sometimes. My daughter taught English in Ukraine in Peace Corps for few years and that is one thing she told me. They often had cartoons even for the younger children on weekend. It was a school that boarded children from the whole district. Otherwise kids couldn’t get to school being so far from towns out on farms. There were also locals who attended. She taught 3rd level to graduation and has been home for 10 years and some kids keep in touch with her.
