I’m from Chicago and I spent many summers visiting my grandparents who lived right around the corner from there on 25th St. The area was really nice in the 1980’s and 1990’s. I remember going to dinner at the Holiday Inn across the street. I haven’t been to Buena Vista/Saginaw in at least 5 years. The last time I visited, I was extremely sad at the site of abandoned buildings.

I have. At the Freight Depot in St Louis there was a nice homeless guy that built a whole house out of plywood and pallets, he even had two dogs.
