This hotel suffered a major fire around 2017. It should have been condemned at that time. Oddly enough, a hotel under construction next door also burned down just a few months ago.

I know several hard working guys who would fix it up just to stay there. There is a hotel not far from there that charges these guys 400$ a week.

Pay homeless too clean it up! Then offer them a room at an affordable rate as long as they get a job! Make them apartments but keep out addicts

it was shut down due to "unsafe" structures nobody wants anything like that as a liability on their hands. needs proper repair or proper demolition. those are the only 2 options at this point going forward apparently

6023 Gateway Dr. Plainfield. It is on Quaker Boulevard near Interstate 70. Quaker Boulevard was at one time referred to as 'new' 267. Highway 267 (also known as 'old' 267) is the true 267. Quaker Boulevard is named after the Plainfield High School mascot. Years ago I worked at a warehouse across the street from that motel. I had a fellow employee that not only lived at the motel, but he and his girlfriend were also the night managers. Yes, it was a full-fledged motel, but it was usually occupied by people who had no where else to live. Drug use and prostitution were rampant there and police were called on a regular basis. They were called there once due to one person stabbing another with a hypodermic needle and were trying to figure out what the liquid was. It has since been torn down and replaced with a better facility, though I cannot recall what it is named.
