Hi guys, uploader here. I seem to (still) get a lot of comments on this video, and most of the times people ask the same questions, so I will try to answer them now. 1) Where is this place? It's in Italy, outside the urban area of a city called Taranto. 2) Have I gone back, or will I go back, to see what it was? No, I haven't gone back. If I wanted to see what it really was, I would have unwrapped the thing on the spot. And I can't go back now even if I wanted to. I posted this video in summer 2011, three years ago. I haven't even been back in that city since September 2011. 3) Is it a corpse? Is it something else? When I discovered this thing I really thought it might have been a corpse, because of the size and the smell. But after the encounter itself, thinking more lucidly, and watching the video again, I thought it wasn't, and I still think it probably wasn't a corpse. By the way, I see a lot of comments are automatically flagged as spam and don't appear. Apologies for that. Thanks everyone for watching my video and commenting! Soon I'll be in Hong Kong, plenty of abandoned places over there. If I can I'll shoot some videos :)

I enjoyed the video. Don't get discouraged by ignorant comments. As for the "body", you can see a hose attached to a pump on one end of it. I'm almost certain it's an inflatable raft. If they used it for fishing & didn't clean it properly before wrapping up like that, it would be slightly putrid smelling like dead animals. Trust me, if that was a body there'd been dozens of insects in that room, you'd known. Decaying human smell is something awful you'll never forget you ever smelled. I can't really describe it, but remember bodies have all sorts of fluids & the smell will depend on how many have leaked out. It's not a "ugh the smell, la dee da" kind of reaction. More a "Good Lord what in hell have I just walked into". Looking forward to your Hong Kong explorations.
@Vaille3210 жыл бұрын
wollypollywakadoodle You happen to be correct! It is indeed an inflatable raft. And like you said, if he'd walked into a small, closed room with a body in it, he'd have known it instantly. Hell, we'd have heard the flies through the closed door...
@wollypollywakadoodle10 жыл бұрын
Thanks :) & you're right, the flies would've been awful!
@wollypollywakadoodle10 жыл бұрын
Dave Dennis Thanks :) & you're also right, the time he spent in there, if a dead body was present he'd feel slightly light headed for sure.
@coffeebeans265310 жыл бұрын
Dave Dennis You are wrong. With his prints all over the place the best thing he did was post it here. If it is a body and the police find it and his prints, his alibi etc... is this video. The fact that he was exploring and his reaction when he opened the door. I doubt it is a body though. I think it was a carpet or something rolled up and tied and sitting on a workout bench or something. It could be many things other than a body. The one respondent is correct though. If it is a body and had been there for many months there would be less smell, no rodents or bugs etc... After the bugs and rodents clean out the body they leave it to finish decomposing.

@ShaunCoke You mean the blanket of the bed? No, I never went back. Actually on my list I have many other interesting sites to explore but it's hard to do this kind of things when you're on your own and without a car. All people I know are scared to do this or just not interested. If it was for me, I'd even do all explorations at night.
@jeramiahhinkle64359 жыл бұрын
Nope no rotting corpse, the smell would have made you comment when you first entered. Possibly moved their after decomposed but there was no mess underneath and even with windows and doors open it is a smell that would get ya:) subscribed though and awesome upload!

I think the wrapped thing is a inflatable boat, the bright colours and the fact that it seems to have cord around the edges plus the way it sits wrapped but also flattened is exactly how a large inflatable sits when you wrap them up.

@Aquatica4 Hi, I wasn't actually planning on going back. The smell in that room was too strong, and if that thing is really a corpse, I wouldn't really want to go and unwrap it myself. Not alone at least. A friend of mine was thinking that maybe our local mafia is involved (very active here in south Italy), as once in a while someone goes missing or "a message" is sent to someone who is not doing things right according to the mafia. But I don't really know what to think..

To everyone who thinks you hear the words "help me" at 4:01...I am a former paranormal investigator and have an expertise in audio analysis. What you hear is his own breath wheezing, if you listen to his breathing before and after you can hear a slight whistle to it. At the 4:01 mark, it is a bit louder and shriller due to a quick inhale. Sorry not an EVP>

Thank you so much. I usually get shit for the camera being too shaky actually, but what people don't understand, I think, is that this kind of footage is not shot like a movie or not even for the purpose of entertaining an audience, it's actually just what my eyes saw at that moment. It's like a dash cam in a car, its purpose it's not meant to be to entertain but just to document. Anyways nevermind I'm going off topic, lol. Feel free to check the rest of my channel. I've been to several traditional funerals, the bodies were wrapped in blanketing kind of like that; no alter though. If I do say so myself, by the way it was presented in the center of the room, it may have been a body and that house was theirs. I don't know how traditional funerals are like in Italy, but in my perspective that looks like a resting place.

Thank you for the Video. The Structure is quaint, but inside it felt like a Mausoleum. I saw major Mold growing on the Fabric and Leather wrapping that strange human shaped object in the middle of the room in question. If a Room has the right amount of moisture and is sealed off without heat and the Sun for long enough, Mushrooms can even begin growing upon the wood and articles within a building, but doing this kind of Exploring as often you do, you don't need me to explain this to you. You, as the watcher, can watch or not, go to another video you like better or not. Ten years from now, it is not going to make a bit of difference in your life that you watched this video and you didn't like the way he did it. Anyone can post videos to KZbin. It can be for his own entertainment or it can be for the general public. If it didn't entertain you the way you wanted to be entertained, there's this thing called a satellite dish where you can get thousands of channels and you can complain about there nothing worth watching being on there too. Or...you might just get your jollies from getting on KZbin and complaining about random channels on here. That's your right too. Peace.

In my opinion that is not a corpse wrapped up on that blanket or whatever what that red think is,because if there would be a dead body on those blankets,for sure you wouldn't be able to remain in that room for more than a minute without feeling like you wanna trow up,the smell would of be to strong to handle specially because that door to that room was close not open so in a closed room a rotten body would smell horrible and incredibly strong.

@AutumnAsh8110 жыл бұрын
no, thats not a corpse. i think you can even see that there are cables wrapped up inside. to comment about the movement of flashlight... i agree... tho, not pointless, but rushed. im assuming he didnt have permission to enter the place (prob a no trespassing sign), he keeps looking out the windows but if you were a robber.... you would be careful to NOT shine the light directly out of the window. so if hes robbing it, that was stupid. but he dont take anything and he doesnt look in any draws. so i thnk that rules that out. maybe scouting the place to come back at night is possible, but what i think is that he came here before and thought it was a body and came back to film as if first time and to upload the video to get the hits and likes. or whatever reason. i dont think thats first time he was there. he also walked thru pretty much knowing where to check to see if floor boards are ok (you can hear him testing them on occasion). i just think he for sure was there before cause he walked thru it so fast, with out caution for such a old place... but all speculation. would have been much cooler of a video if he went slower.

Sentient Anomaly Awfully fast to reply to a video posted 5 years ago, scared of something? It's obvious. You're flip-flopping on the issue with calling the cops or not, making excuses to make it look real. "Possible human corpse" is a plain giveaway. Any reasonable human being would have either investigated that "smell" further and that awfully suspicious mattress (or whatever it was) and call the cops. The mattress or whatever it was also looked pretty thick, meaning that it would probably have looked bigger if an actual human being would be inside it. You're also somewhat breaking the law by not reporting it to the cops. Stop acting like it _was_ real, if you've been paying attention on youtube recently people are getting serious backlash for doing it.
@dennis41808 жыл бұрын
Sentient Anomaly It's also normal for youtubers to delete comments or block users contradicting their video. Please do not do that.
@SentientAnomaly8 жыл бұрын
Issue on calling the cops, what issue? I already replied somewhere in the comments that I didn't call the cops. Flip flopping, what the hell are you talking about? Making excuses to make it look real? What excuses? I went to an abandoned place, took a video, put it on youtube and gave it a description in accordance to what I thought it was. Read the top comment in this video, it has some answers from me, and it says that I later on thought it probably wasn't a corpse. I'm not trying to make anything look real, I'm presenting you what I saw and telling you what I thought of it. "You're also somewhat breaking the law by not reporting it to the cops." Oh yeah? You're the youtube police now? Weren't you saying this was fake? How can you have so much arrogance to go and say to people that something isn't real. This is what I saw, it's in the video. What I wrote is what I thought of it. This video has no editing, no music, no special effects, no nothing, no bullshit, 5 years ago I wasn't a youtuber and wasn't doing any kind of videos, I just used to explore and upload my videos. Now you can dwell in your own arrogance and pride yourself of knowing better than others that something is fake, but you don't, but believe what you must. And dude what are you talking about, if I happen to reply your comment timely it means I'm scared? Like you said if I was scared of your opinion I would have just deleted it already.

you need to slow down and scope the whole room(s) from floor to ceiling with the camera. Remember your audience cannot see it like you do.

When I was taking these videos I wasn't initially thinking of an audience, I wasn't even thinking of youtube yet. I was just recording the experience for myself. Also, my behaviour in these moments (when I'm alone in an abandoned, unfamiliar and potentially hazardous place) isn't really affected by the idea that youtube viewers aren't going to see well. I act in a way that is safe for me first, before thinking about youtube. Also, I record with one of those small cameras that are really just meant for photos, so video quality is always quite low. I'll try to do a better job in the future though, thanks for the advice.

What is with all of the quick jerky movements throughout the whole video?

Possibly morose finding and all aside ( I would have sent an anonymous letter to the authority's ) , I really like the stone construction and the sprawling closed in compound. Very interesting complex. Be safe.
