I found this chevy blazer on a facebook group for abandoned vehicles, after a lot off research i came in contact with the owner and managed to buy it.
In this video me and my sad get it started and drive it out of it's grave after sitting for 28 years.
My play is to save it and bring it back on the road.

Just found your channel land it’s very interesting for me. I’ve seen vehicles rusted out and growing moss on them in the lower 48 but never here in southern Montana. It’s so dry here nothing ever really rusts unless the highway department uses salt on our roads, which in this state uses Mag Chloride instead if anything at all. It’s fun seeing you resurrect this ride! I’ve worked on these old vehicles like this on and off my whole life, especially Chevys. When she started backfiring I knew the jig was up. Good on you for doing these videos, truly a privilege for me to see these! Blessings to you from America!

Unfortunately rust is a big problem here. Also you cant leave anything for any period of time before it starts growing moss and stuff on the vehicles. Thanks for watching and the kind words!

There are some company’s importing these types of trucks. However they mostly sell 1500 crew cab short beds. My dads truck was bought from a Canadian dealer and sold here by the Swedish dealer. Not sure about if the sold new 2wd but you could definitely get one if you specified it but I’m pretty sure they didn’t have them i “stock” however squarebodys and especially 4x4 blazers sold good here we have pretty plenty of them.

Probably you have either some pulled rocker studs, or bent pushrods. It’s not advisable to start an engine that sat for a long time, without removing the rocker covers and gently taping the valves with a rubber hammer to see if they are stuck. Freeing them, and then cranking the engine. And That carb doesn’t sound very healthy either, as you said. Great video, thank you
