Abandoned Mental Asylum from 1930 / Urbex Lost Places Italy

This abandoned asylum was built in the 1930s and abandoned in the late 70s. Not only are there various things left behind, but there is also a giant auditorium and an interesting history to the place.

That mental asylum is Erie eeeeee, full of doom, gloom and despair!! Even the paint color is dark, makes you want to run the other way. Doesn't have a safe feeling to it and even the decay looked lost. Great video!!.....

Great video. Asylums were a sad and dark part of our history but an almost necessary evil in a way. The need to close these places caused doctors and society to take mental illness seriously and further research in medications and therapy. Thank you!

That black dust is really strange, was that in the roof space?...another fab vid thumbs up

Yeah, but it wasn't really a dust, as I said in the video it looked like charcoal made from the shell that's around the individual rice kernels or wheat berries, really strange. Each of these mounds was pretty much exactly over one room, but no Idea why they did it.

What an interesting building. Too bad they were used for not just sick people, but for people that were troubled, not sick. That church was very odd! I've seen some sort of like that but not with 3 sides. Maybe 2 but the priest could be seen from both sides. 3 is odd.
