It’s always a shame to see old cars rotting away in the undergrowth. These ones are beyond saving now. I particularly love the old Minis. I first started driving in them, back in the day. Thanks for this great explore.

That old Bedford bus brings back some memories, our old school used to have one , we travelled some miles on those old wooden side facing bench seats ! God they were uncomfortable 😵.

Another awesome video 🤩 Shame to see how badly deteriorated the Riley was - amazing the badge is still so shiny! As for that poor Mini - undergrowth has definitely taken over. I love how passionate you are about replacing her bonnet as best you could - as you say none of those cars asked to be abandoned like this 😢 Great re-visit Stu 👍👍👍

Stu, There was back in the day the Riley Elf 1500 and Wolsley Hornet 1500 these were the two body shells produced by Fisher Ludlow for BMC. My dad had a Wolsley Hornet, they were cool little cars based on the Mini but with a boot so a bit bigger than a Mini. (The Vauxhall Nova 4 door from the 1980's was a similar shape to them). Rare find that Riley Elf not many survived from the 1960's.
@deanosaur808 Жыл бұрын
Actually quite a few Riley elf' survived. 750ish in the UK, and 431 of those are still on the road 🥳 The Worsley hornet is a bit rarer with around 470, but 285 still on the road! I weeded out the older non mini based hornets and elf' to give a more accurate estimate 😅
@EdwardKennedy-v4w Жыл бұрын
Think you're mistaken they were the wolseley 1500 with a single carb engine bmc engine and the Riley 1.5 with the twin carb bmc engine, the wolseley hornet and Riley elf had 850cc and 998cc engine's.
