Abandoned Mining Platform - What secrets does it hold?

Easiest place to find this platform is Saturn's moon of Dione. And the fastest way to find it is on the top of the moon, Always takes me around 15 minutes at most to find this platform... I do it with most characters to fast level up when I'm low levelled by quickly acquiring a beowulf and going to town on the aliens... Just wish there was more lore to this platform....

Yeah I stumbled onto it. I was doing Bogs mission from the Crimson Fleet. Saw the structure and was curious. I'm currently a level 43, and the creatures that pop up were mostly 75-88. The only ones that were below that were random ones that spawned by themselves in the buildings. But man my only saving grace was having a stockpile of "blend" getting put to use. I spammed them and just started blasting. I do like the fact that this game does incorporate scares like that

There are some slates that have lore/story littered around. It was a level 60 or so icy moon so the gravity was low and I just boosted right into the middle. Problem is the swarmers can get to places to follow you because of the low gravity too. I hope to find it again on a planet/moon with higher gravity.

I got one of these when I first started... right after Vectera, there was one on Kreet. And a Terrormorph. Spicy and slow going, I got jumped by the little ones a lot. 2nd time I was upper 30s and had lots of points in Jetpack, I did a lot of tenderizing from above with mines and sniping. It is definitely an exciting POI with great Starship Trooper or Aliens vibes.

I've played 100s of hours with multiple playthroughs and I've only found this platform once, it seems pretty rare compared to all the other procedurally generated copy/paste.

I’ve yet to actually find this location at lvl 103 which seems very much unique as facilities goes. I’m for way more variety of locations in the game.

I've seen this place in other videos on lower level planets. I ran across it myself in my 20's nearer to core systems. Wonder if this is not a unique place and can spawn 2-3 times. Story is the same though. Drilled down and set them free.

I did run into this spot, I just wished they added something fun like a set of audio logs explaining what happened and leading to an actual side quest where you have to take down an alien den, a Terramorph or something!

To be fair if you build for melee and have a good weapon like a Var'run pain blade you can be almost invincible.

no matter where it happened game always generated for everyone different, but one thing is interesing, I have more than 600 hours in game and I love to visit every corner of every planet and yesterday I been in place where was everything build with different components, it took me 600 hours to find it and it shock me. This game I think jave many hidden locations which you can find only if you spend really much time in it.

Yeah, I came across this structure and died 2 or 3 times playing on easy mode. There must be over 100 space spiders in there and they are aggressive. Bring lots of guns , ammo and health packs.

That's a one POI but very closely related to a space station that is dead in space and even stronger swarm like creatures that seem more advanced and deadly. Can't remember the name but on one if the slates it talked about the Minibg platform. So far out of 10 full ore NG+ playthroughs fiund the platfirm 4 times always different local and the station onky twice.

Went there last week when i was about level 25. Kept running out of ammunition and don't have a gun powerful enough to one shot kill them yet. I'll go back there in due course.

It is random uncomon spawn "base" seen it at lvl 30, and at lvl 62, seen at 2 different planets. recommend high dmg weapons. only downside is that there is not so much loot. 🤔 but you can find 12 guage shotguns is a plus 🤠 have only found it on snow covered biom/moon.

I found this on some high level moon at lvl 11 if I recall. They were bullet sponges for me with those low level guns. I turned foot and ran.

What planet did you find this on? After 500+ hours in SF i still have yet to see this POI. I went looking on the planet suggested in the other video, but could not find it. With all the same POI everywhere, it would be nice to find something unique for a change :)

It is because the game is fairly easy because of its AI. It's kind of dumb. You can also just switch difficulty before and after spawns to reap the very hard benifits. The drop rate is still kinda rubbish either way. Have you went to gal bank new Atlantis yet. Ok missions and pretty good creds. Around 300hrs in level 89 with no real exploits first character haven't new gamed yet. Waiting for level 100. On Xbox seems to crash more often the more I accumulate, pretty bad new Atlantis map bug grounds missing at the space port area, elevator to well is semi broken, crashes mostly transitioning from world to UI. Sound bug in ship builder sometimes, crashes in game sometimes. Very few random events compared to previous games, paying over 100$ and upgrading my console specifically for this game I'll admit I'm rather disappointed. Considering asking for a return where I bought it and seeing where that leads but I truly love Bethesda games and I only play like 5 games. Fallout 4, rdo2, skyrim sometimes, startrek online rarely, well 4 games. May play 76 if itnsurvives to be something worth playing. Good video.

I wish they would do more of what folks want. Why can't 76 players develope a player created diamond city? Or build actual players settlements? I would have rather Bethesda combined all their available games updated and incorporate them into one experience. Starfield is your starting point with like 25 systems. In one of those systems is the elder scrolls planet. You can land and play the elder scrolls games. Go to earth and play fallout games. Etc... who wouldn't want to take on a dragon with starborn armor and magshear. Or kill spacers with a dedric bow. You travel starfield in some blades armor with a space helmet. Or land your ship somewhere in west virginia, capital wasteland etc. It's all under the same engine from what I gather. I may be wrong. Why can't I bye a fallout expansion that turns the starfield earth into all the fallout games that I can land on and play through grab some power armor and go kill spacers in it? Or one that adds the skyrim world that I can travel to grab Lidia and go fight VA'ruun. Starfield by itself is just so so. The outfits are meh. That gameplay is same as usual. The look is same as usual with a little tweaking. The most enjoyable thing I enjoy doing is seeing what kind of cool ships I can build. The story is ok. Voice acting is a bit better and more diverse. Hell most of the side faction missions are better then the main. It's mind boggling to me that it was this long to develope and this is all we got. Should have cut the planet count in half and focused on other things. I REALLY look forward mods on console.

Why do people still play on very hard difficulty for looting? It's been proven many times by many people that in Starfield the difficulty level has absolutely zero effect on loot quality or legendary enemy encounters.

Because it’s way too easy on any other difficulty…duh. I’ve found that I’ve found far more legendaries on very hard than anytime I’ve played on other difficulties. I’ve never read about loot not being effected, I’ve only seen that xp isn’t effected.
