You can use standard micro switches for the front brake on Brembos. Just solder onto the existing cables. The effect on the inside looks similar to what happens when superglue gets hot.

That's exactly the problem I had with my TL1000S,it ran intermittently on one cylinder for years,after going through everything over years of this problem checking wiring etc after one winter lay up it wouldn't start and was throwing a fault code for the C.P.S. which unfortunately came as part of the alternator stator and wiring making it crazy money Replaced it and it ran perfectly,after all those years of misery!!

@@stoneautomotive I saw a 748 in Johannesburg for $3600, with 3 sets of Plastics, I want to get it and make the one set Yellow like yours, the a Red kit and then I also want the 3rd kit to be like the 2002 748s Grey Senna. The prices has gone through the roof here on certain models.

I have had my own 748s 2002 model for 4 years, and have done the belts twice already, current set is 2.5 yrs old, but have only done prob 1500 miles....i dont ride in winter but do run it up regularly. at 150 quid a set and as old ones came off looking like new, i have decided to let them go to 3 years..... like you say, im not a GP rider..

Great Video. Love the 748 Did you find out, why it did not start? My 998s does the same. If you try to start it and she won't fire up, I need to pull the key out of the lock, put it in again, turn the key and push the starter again. Only if I remove the key, the ignition will work again.
@stoneautomotive3 ай бұрын
Glad you enjoyed 😎 Still need to pull it apart, I suspect starter solenoid as after giving it a tap she fired up! All part of the Ducati charm 😅

The misfiring might be plugs coils, leads? The crank position sensors can be intermittent, but normally go out once the engine is hot. It looks similar to what’s on my 90 Laverda 650, and 750, I think there’s a 2 and 3 pin version, one is the same as a Fiat, Lancia Delta Integrale, I don’t know if you have a 2 or 3 pin on those. A lot of similar parts are shared on 90s Italian bikes, so looking elsewhere can sometimes save a premium you pay for gen Ducati parts, when most are used elsewhere, eg, the throttle position sensor on my Laverda 650 Formul (and other 90s Laverda) is the same as a Sierra Cosworth, as it also uses Weber Marelli injection. The starter solenoid and regulator are shared on the Ducati and Laverda, and not very reliable. The 12v feed in on the small plug for the solenoid works its way out…cable tie… Best of luck sorting it out, I know how 90s Italian electrics are, , I have 3 Laverda to keep working……
