Abandoned neighborhoods of East Cleveland, Ohio

Founded as a village in 1885 east of Cleveland and incorporated as a city in 1911, East Cleveland, Ohio was aptly named for its location. With General Electric as its main employer and home to the first industrial park, the city's population peaked at 40,000 in the 1950s. Today, nature is reclaiming entire neighborhoods and blocks as less than 13,000 residents remain in the once-thriving city. There are entire streets and neighborhoods abandoned but the entire city is not like this.

East Cleveland is a mess now, has been a long time. The blight there is awful and the corruption & drama in city government isn't helping.

When I was there they were reclaiming the limestone on the bottom of buildings. In the video you can see pallets stacked and wrapped in plastic.
