Great video 😎 watching and comparing to our winters in Scotland 🏴. Defiantly not that cold. Cannot fault my Pomoly either 🏕️

Thank you for watching 🍻 what is the coldest you get there in Scotland??
@robbiebaillie10494 ай бұрын
@@HisandHersOutdoors during the day we would average 4-9c but at night that could drop to -10c 😃
@HisandHersOutdoors4 ай бұрын
@robbiebaillie1049 would that be a damp -10c or a dry -10c? A dry cold is easy to get warm in, but a damp cold , is cold at all Temps! 🍻

Great video. That shot of the trees blowing in the wind shows you how serious the conditions were. Both those tents held up well. Good for yall for getting out there and going for it. So good for kids to be outdoors also. And yes the good ole bucket- on western multi-day river trips we have to use similar systems to pack out waste. Im doing a channel myself yall keep up the good work!

Good video. Beautiful winter weather. An idea for custom hottent... Fire impregnation, can be bought in spray and can. the hole for the chimney can be made with fire-retardant material. Make the chimney as high as possible and make sure you can support it in case of wind.

Thanks so much for watching! Great ideas. We invested in that tent protector which wasn't cheap but now I think I'm going to just sew in a velcro silicone stove jack and I'll also be able to velcro on a cover piece for summer. The tent is so nice when your in it! You'll see this custom hottent again before winter's done ✔️

There was no reason to take that tent down your stove pipe came up and then went down before it went out the wall you can never take a stove pipe in a downward direction always in an upward direction. That is why smoke your tent was killing me just watching it.
@HisandHersOutdoors3 ай бұрын
The smoke was coming from the heat wrap burning in. The pipe sections are on 90's and all travel upward and work excellent. We setup the second tent because I didn't want our 5 year old breathing in the chemicals that are on the exhaust wrap and it was -25°c. The chemical burning in had stopped by the time we had the X6 tent up but still felt as parents we made the right choice. Thanks for watching and your input 🍻
