Tilt the bucket forward and pull back use the bucket as a rake. That way you can pull debris back from the foundation without having to get off and do it by hand. Of course you’ll have to do some work cleaning but not as much. Let the sun shine in, cut those big trees down holding all the moisture in there, especially over the roof.

I would recommend spraying out the full yard where nuisance plants are growing with some glyphosate herbicide a few passes to kill off all vegetation. Once a few passes are sprayed give yourself some really high quality sod for ground cover get it super clean and level. Blanket spray permeferin for bugs get some from tractor supply in the concentrate and spray monthly to keep the bugs at bay. Harbor freight has a cheapo backpack sprayer to get started and upgrade to a high quality sprayer later.

thanks, very curious to see what machine you bought. I am happy with my purchase but i am seeing little details on mine that are fixable with mods, but seem to come as options on other machines, pressure relief in the auxiliary, pressure gauges, fuel gauge

I'm pretty sure you'd be quicker with a wheel barrow and the shovel. You need to get some seat time on that equipment. Try doing a timelapse and just spend 3 hrs continuous on a machine at a time. Also use the bucket backwards pressing down from the house to pull away, then scoop up
@betweenthesharksgarage
@betweenthesharksgarage 6 ай бұрын
i probably am faster with a shovel... years of experiance there. am already taking your advice in this video, finding simple projects where i can't do too much damage and learning the machines. But thanks for the tip too, using the bucket that way makes sense

Be careful tracking up there in the vines you don't want to get them wrapped around the tracks and underneath the machine to be a nightmare but since you got that thumb attachment grip it with the thumb attachment and track yourself back and see what routes will break just start to see if it's kind of pulling down on anything and that's when you'll know how strong the roots are

Tree work there must be much cheaper than here in NW MT. Was quoted $1000 just to take down a 3 stem fir with about 36" butt. That didn't include cleanup, only putting chunks on the ground. That was motivation enough for me to buy an elderly Ford 4500 diesel backhoe and learn to use it. You can take down all but the worst leaners/heartrotted trees yourself with a 24' ladder, a rope winch, 200' of rope, a couple of straps, a few pullies, a sharp chainsaw, 3 wedges and YT tutorials...

The backhoe was for the stump, cleaning up the branches and to skid the logs to my bandmill. Already paid for itself a few times (lots of house-threatening trees, all gone now and have carved out an additional 1000sq ft of backyard from the hillside behind).
