Our journey today took us to a forest area which was far away from our hometown. We travelled for half a day, but the good thing was the weather wasn't as harsh as before.
Nevertheless, we found this small girl hiding in a sewer. We had to somehow enter it (it was quite small) and pull her out.

She looks like an Angel, that would be the perfect name... have you tried using Dawn brand dish soap to get oil out of fur? A lot of rescuers use it on wild life caught in oil spills and the like, you wouldn't need to try to cut out the oil spots

What amazes me is that the folks who very.kindly call you for help for these pups, don't bester themselves to get th peppers to safety and then at least meet you to give them to you! I mean, if I heard a puppy crying, I'd go look for it and get it safe for the night, then make a.phone call to rescue!

My guess (because she wasn't extremely emaciated) is that the people who called were the ones that dumped her. It's out in the boonies & they would have had to been out there to have heard her & so know she was there. Maybe they left her for the critters and then felt guilty, so called.
