Grew up watching my dad race here in the #6 outlaw hot rod, even had a chance around the track myself in a mini sprint when I was 6, would love for this to open again so I could take my kids one day.

It's not even in PRI's hands now. You'd need to talk to the new owners to see when (or if) they are going to start building or if they are willing to let the circuit. I know of rumours but from the last I heard, that's all they are. CJ - PRI

Love the place grew up watching banger racing and raced in the rookie bangers 2012, 2014 and 2018. Great memories will be missed. The only way is arena Essex 🏁

I raced there in 2017 in a ninja kart, first time racing in England. Definitely the best track that I have ever raced at it’s a shame what has happened to it, would love to see it opened again

get me back there! used to work in one of the shops in the building that has now been destroyed, only went round the track a couple times but dont think i missed a meeting there from when i was born! First meet a week old... Grew up taking pictures around this place

What a waste. When of the all time great banger tracks which was at its prime in the early 90's before it became all cliquey. The Firecracker meetings were unreal.

First track I raced at when I was 13 trying out a 1600cc Hot Rod. Such a shame what has become of it. There is a main sewer located underneath which will cost the property developers too much to build on it, hence its left to rot.

Interesting to see the speedway team are trying hard to be allowed to reopen it maybe the cars will be allowed back as we’ll apparently the building company have given up on the plans to build houses there
