Ive been to a couple of these abandoned spots in Germany inlcuding a multiple story underground soviet era communications bunker with over 2 dozen rooms, I work a couple hours away from some of the locations. I saw your Nike missile site explore you should check out the abandoned SAGE control station at Stewart international airport. I couldnt find a way into the building but everything around it is unsecured. Would love to see the inside of it, maybe the old IBM system is still present??

Brilliant! I'm going to the abandoned city of Wünsdorf 25 mile south of Berlin in a month or so, which the Soviets took over straight after the WW2 until 1991. I love this stuff, I've been to all but 2 ex USSR countries exploring 😀 I'm definitely going to look this up

The specific Nike base I wnt into was made creepier as it was very near a major nuclear waste dump...

This would be awesome bases for NATO too operations out of. Abandoned means reuse because of infrastructure is still there not starting from nothing. Saving millions of dollars for any country for the military.
