ABANDONED STARS HALL OF FAME MOVIE & TV WAX MUSUEM | ORLANDO ROADSIDE ATTRACTION | What Remains?
Today we are seeing what remains from the former home of STARS HALL OF FAME MOVIE & TX WAX MUSEUM in Orlando Florida! This museum was opened from 1975-1984 and a very popular roadside attraction near Sea World and Walt Disney World. I had a very interesting time when I visited so see for yourself what happened!
Special shoutout to Lostparks.com and Crazefanboy.com for their help in research!

Very cool , Had no idea about that place . Ive had my run in with plenty of those bored security guards “just doing their jobs” . You could always go back and just stand in the other side of that property chain link fence and zoom in while the security guard sits there not legally being able to do anything

My husband and I went there in 1977 when we came down for our honeymoon! What I remember, the place was pretty neat at the time. Also, I-drive was mostly fields with a few hotels and shops.

I think it’s cool that you document these forgotten attractions in Orlando. Like you said they should make it clear by putting no trespassing signs on the properties.

I went to this place back in the 70's when it was open. I had taken some pictures but the only one I have left that I could find is the Superman display with Christopher Reeve as Superman. I think maybe it was the Fortress of Solitude. Really good picture and a lot of good memories. Great to see someone who is interested in keeping these forgotten places alive. Keep up the good work.

I went there with my husband around1976 and have pictures, I just can't find them right now. My favorite was the cast of Star Trek. I remember when it was HBJ also. I seem to remember a large globe or map outside then.

I was in a show there in 1979. I was a Magician in a ahow called "The Wacky World of Comedy". They built an Outdoor Stage (cost $18,000). The Show consisted of an M.C., A Comedy Team (Franks and Beans), A Dancer/Singer Couple (doing "We're a Couple of Swells), an Abbot and Costello lookalike Comedy Team (doing Who's on First) and my Magic Show. I wore a Tux and Tails and the Florida heat and humidity were brutal! I had a great time anyway, Between shows I would hang out in the air conditioned Wax Museum. It was during this time I met and became good friends with Kirby Grant (Sky King). He was Host of the next door Florida Festival. I grew up watching him on TV and now I was his friend!

I was there in the 70's with my current husband and some friends. When I moved down to Florida many years later it was obviously gone. However I ended up getting a job for HBJ and worked there for 28 years!!! Who knew this would happen years later!!!

Great video, even if it ended prematurely. A wax museum in Texas that I worked for had much of the wax collection after the Florida museum closed. One set that stands out in particular at the Grand Prairie museum was the Butch Cassidy & Sundance Kid as it was later lost in a massive fire in 1988. So many of the figures also found new homes in their San Antonio museum, including the Shirley Temple figure you showed. Thanks for the memories, Sir Micah!

My family started coming down to Orlando in 1972 and have been visiting at least once a year since we use to stay on I-Drive and Sand Lake Road before it was a strip mall it was a Howard Johnson's. Stars Hall of Fame was a stop of ours every year we were all upset when it closed. Fun Fact I used to go to the 7-Eleven that is now Hogans beach shop and behind it was a Arcade and go cart track called Fun N Wheels, we also use to visit Mystery Fun house and Malibu Grand Prix. I-Drive was just as fun to us as Disney. I do remember the Florida Festival Tent that was there for a few years that someone else talked about in the comments.

The minute I pulled up The Stars Hall Of Fame that reminded me of bad things my mom did to me. Everytime we went there even when my Uncle Dave was with us she was always being rude to me alot especially in front of company my Uncle Dave was always being nasty with me too. Mom was thoughtless and cruel and it hurts and none of us deserve it. They are sick of it and so am I. She kept being at it for years no matter what it was until she forced me to arrange for counseling with my former pastor Brother Wilson. I especially told Brother Wilson that my mom will not take the time to say to me or anybody in the family I'm sorry. And that's what got her good. I explained everything to what my mom did. She couldn't handle the truth about her actions. And before she died, she finally learned to show manners especially saying I'm sorry. And now when I watched the video it's looking going to The Stars Hall Of Fame by yourself and now I said ahhh a lovely Stars Hall Of Fame just for me. Now my Uncle Dave also finally learned to say I'm sorry after he noticed that my mom finally calmed down and that's when I said to him that's because I took my mom for counseling. So Uncle Dave finally said to me Frankie I'm sorry. And finally being nasty to me since. Now my mom and my Uncle Dave passed away. My mom died of lung cancer and Uncle Dave died of old age.

I’m finding myself heading to Orlando as much as possible and while I love the Parks the content you do about the surrounding areas are great! When my Uber drove by the former Preview Center I had to do my utmost to control the nerdcitement so I didn’t freak out my driver. I went to HHN this past October based on your excitement and now I think I have to make that an annual trip. When I got home your first video was on the old tourist center building. My hotel was literally next door…. The Holiday Inn Across from Universal. It was a trip seeing what that building was. Thanks for posting this content even though it didn’t go exactly as planned. It was very cool that you just chuckled at the situation. I’d have probably just posted the trailer for Blackfish… lol.

I went to Stars Hall of Fame during a family trip to Orlando in 1977. Being a wax museum nerd, I was 10 years old and eagerly awaiting our visit. I had collected several brochures beforehand and studied them forwards and backwards. I believe that it was very similar to the Movieland Wax Museum in Buena Park, California. I enjoyed being there, but I also remember feeling disappointed in it. I felt that the quality of the figures and/or sets was inconsistent. Some figures were very lifelike, while others were too shiny or cartoonish to really look like their intended celebrity . Some sets were really elaborate, while some figures were placed in plain little nooks. I had hoped to go back to see what changes/updates were made, but I wasn’t able to. I never heard about it closing down and was disappointed to learn about its demise about 12 years after the fact. I later learned about the businesses that inhabited the building, but I also remember reading on the internet erroneously that the building had been torn down. I was glad to see that that wasn’t the case. I believe that Stars Hall of Fame was ahead of its time. It could’ve been what Madame Tussaud’s has become, but we’ll never know for sure.
