Nice rescue Marty. RE the front blade, on my DB 885 once the correct output was selected on the valve block on the left hand side the 3PL linkage controls had to be set to draught mode and the depth lever set to all the way down. However the 3PL controls on your 990 are a bit different to what mine where. Also note if that engine is the same basic design as my 885 then it is a sleeveless engine with the cylinders bored straight in to the cast iron block. You must run antifreeze/anticorrosion in these or you will pinhole through from the combustion chambers to the water jacket. This is an expensive repair as the cylinders have to be bored out and special sleeves fitted. Not cheap as I had to get it done on mine. Engine will also run hotter than normal after it is sleeved.
