Abandoned Train Warehouse - Sutherland Australia

THIS WHOLE SITE WAS STILL IN USE! This whole area was used by the Sydney Tram Museum from 1955 to 2015 due to a vandal burning it down. All of these priceless relics would have been restored if it wasn't for URBEXers. Well done TWO1SIX5, you've blabbed this huge piece of history that was in the making.

Thats the old Tram museum before they moved about 25 yrs ago to the other side of the highway next to Loftus station. They had a tram track which went about 500 meters into the Royal National Park, then the tram would turn around and come back...it ran parallel with the train line into National park which is the line the new museum uses now after they stopped the train service, fortunately the gauge was the same as the trams. I would imagine the museum volenteers would have rescued the trams before they knocked the shed down.

Yes the new museum is in loftus I always drive past it but it looks rundown from the road

Sadly they were still storing trams at the old site and a vandal burnt it down in 2015.

I went here last week and was astounded to find this place though disappointed as many of the trams and buses and have gone to ruin and are filled with rubbish from all the vandals and junkies though i will say this place was good for my photography assignment just wished it all the old trams had been in better condition such a shame.

Sadly this place burnt to the ground in the early hours of 24/10/2015 with all contents destroyed . A part of Sydney history lost forever .

Those trolly cars dont look to bad actually, they still have seats and there isn't much rust. They may be worth restoring if someone were to repaint them.

You guys should of seen this place about 5 or so years back everything was much more intact, use to live out at Sutherland back then awesome place to explore, all those old office buildings and stuff were still intact to, no smashed windows etc, and all the old tow trucks were intact as well, such a shame to see how bad the place is looking now.

These guys were the first people to blab the location on YT, and then it was burned down by an arsonist in 2015. Priceless history GONE!

that use to be a great place to go and they used to take the trains down a little track and back i think it was a volunteer thing so what happened to them ?
