funny, i get older and alone and the world looks the same, but not. trees age and fog rolls in and out, seasons pass, and children grow up. i still think of her, and that place we used to go..

It took me years to learn how to adapt to change. Change hurt. It broke me. I hated it...but now since I've learned how to accept that things are never the same as they were just a second ago, my life as become a lot easier. Its 100% a valuable life skill people must learn.

Makes you think of an abandoned town, an abandoned civilization that is lost to something unknown, the streets are empty, the town is silent and the atmosphere feels eerie yet sad as you feel like it inhabited life before like as if you feel an essence of what it used to be before. The only thing you hear is the soft wind that blows with the leafs from trees blow around gently.

Lukas T It helps you visualize a scene for a fiction story where your main characters have found their self in the woods even with there is hours of daylight from the summer in Alaska, there’s still something unworldly about these woods........ 🌲🍂🍁🐾🥀🍃🌫

"No one really knew how or why the once thriving town of Twin Peaks was abandoned. Every once in a while, an old timer would return, hoping to find things as they always were only to find the streets and businesses empty. On further investigation even the houses were uninhabited. One of those old timers was Adrian Sloane. He went to TPHS with Laura Palmer. One day she just disappeared. No one knew why, but it was around February 23, 1989. A few others say she was murdered, found on a rocky beach wrapped in plastic. If Sloane had been a casual observer, he would have noticed the change in the summer of 2017. First, Sarah Palmer, Leland Palmer's widow left town, leaving the house empty. Then the Log Lady passed away followed by former town Sheriff Harry Truman. Catherine Martell sold the Mill which eventually went out of business and closed. Covid-19 wreaked havoc on the town. A quarter of the town got sick and died. Ben Horne sold his store and with his wife, left for parts unknown. Big Ed sold the Gas Farm and Norma with deep regret closed down the Double R Diner then they left for a small coastal town in California. Shelly moved to Seattle and got all her vaccinations, but never returned. That was the beginning of the end. Five years had passed. Sloane tried living there in the empty town for awhile, moving into his parents old house. He hooked up the solar panels and the generators and got power, then went down to the Utilities Building, found a way inside and turned on the water to his house. The nearest grocery store was in Deer Meadow, Washington. Now, Sloane stood outside of the Double R. It was 6:30 PM PST. Normally, the place would be busy with folks having dinner or just dropping by for a cup of Coffee. It was dark and deserted. For some reason, he was reminded of a newspaper article he saw while in Derry, NH. "Ghost Town In Maine?"

One has so wonder what an abandoned Cicely, Alaska might feel like: a sense of uncertainty about the town's future pervaded the last episode(s) of "Norhtern Exposure." Maybe that would be a good video next.....

This land is old, older than the states themselves, the natives spoke of this land holding magic within it and I truly fear what powers lay beneath our towns and what forces we have unknowingly awakened since our time here.
