NOTE: this building as we see it today with red brick was most likely an addition built around or part of the original wooden structure from the 1920s.

Love this and interesting history! I would love a drone view and whenever you do updates on places you've already been to, that sounds interesting! Love your videos!

Awesome video of the abandoned school, dude! You should totally fly your drone on top and get some footage of the collapsed roof and inside the building. It'd be amazing to see what it looks like from the air!

Definitely will do that soon. I pass by here usually one a month.

It actually doesn't look like it's from the 1920's. The brickwork in particular looks much newer.

I agree but the original part of the building is most likely the original school. A lot of places like this were wood and then added on to through the years. Someone did a very detailed explanation of the building online, so I might be wrong based upon this info.

I just added a pinned comment, as you are probably correct. I have to assume the original school was wooden and then added upon with the red brick part of the current structure through the years. Thanks for watching!

@@BollingHolt I was going to do a whole “Veronica Vaughn where are you?” hide and seek voiceover on this video, but then found out about the history of the school and didn’t want to joke around as it’s really sad it’s beyond repair. I’ll save the jokes for the next one! 🤣🤣🤣

@@charlestonpinballarcade Dude, we would have gotten along so well in the 90s. We apparently liked the same movies and have the same humor. If you go in my office building, you'll find random postings of "O'Doyle rules" all over the building 😆

@@tomthomas9264 yup! It drops down to 40 after going 55 for a long time. Since there’s not much there, you don’t think to slow down. I always see them waiting near the liquor store. Is that liquor store even open or is that also abandoned?

@@charlestonpinballarcade Google says it's open, so I guess it is. The place to its left was once a ridiculously good mom and pop restaurant way back when. Love your channel.

I notice they keep the front cut and trimmed up but they don’t maintain the sides and back area. They could have least done two passes and spray round up on the foundation.😂 county loves to cut corners.

We have a dead strip mall here in Manning sc you might want to visit.

@@Steve.Cutler just sent you a message on F B. Let me know that location please. I was actually headed toward manning again last weekend, but found all those spots in Saint Stephen. I will get back to manning sometime soon, but might do Bamberg before that.
