Great video, I thought it had all been flattened or would have been back before now

Cheers mate, definitely worth a visit while there's still access to most of the site and it's a lovely peaceful walk

Amazed to find this on Utube, I was born there in 1952, had my appendix op there in 1962, lived in Wales for the last 50 yrs, first appointment with the local Doctors surgery in Wales in 1975 with a Dr Rhys Morgan who going though my medical records which had been transferred to Wales he came across my records for the Appendix, the surgeon was non other than Dr Rhys Morgan my new GP and he showed me his signature on the paperwork, He had done his Surgeon training in Bangour, sad to see it in this state, had many walks around there in younger days walking up from Cardross through Uphall and dechmont to explore the area.

Wow! There's many reasons why I film places like this and one being the stories from when it was still in use from folk like yourself who have memories. That's incredible that years later yous cross paths again. You can still walk around most of the site as they are doing the groundwork from the opposite side from Dechmont just now so not blocked the paths only the buildings. Hope you enjoyed seeing what's left and thanks for sharing your story 🫶🏼🏴

I feel like a broken record when I say that the UK has the most drone flyers. I guess it’s because of all the cool castles. Unfortunately, we don’t have many castles here in the US. Thanks for the aerial tour. I liked and subscribed. Have a great day. Stay connected.👍

its been at least 10 maybe 15 years since i was last there exploring. wow this place has changed
@scotlandfromabove20234 ай бұрын
@mugz3 yeah it's becoming a "luxury village" with new homes etc so won't be like this for long. You can still walk pretty much what you can see in the video. Buildings are secured with security on site so a lot of folk assume it's been flattened for the homes but still a lovely walk minus the exploring inside 🫶🏼🏴

They are planning on turning some of the buildings into flats and building more homes to bring "the Village back" They have started groundwork but I've no idea on timescale and of course what will still be standing and what will be demolished.

Bangoure is now a massive building site building new homes I think the show houses are ready to view you would not recognise it now new round about and roads leading in to the new estate
