It was time to pick up the VW T4 van abandoned under a tree.....

I love the look of the T4s, i hope her engine is salvageable... Theyre great vans. Ive got a T5 myself and really enjoy driving it (when its being well behaved). Im looking forward to seeing your van back to its best!

Nice to see the VW van go from garden ornament to the workshop. I missed when you went from a corner in the workshop to taking over with your vehicles. Good move, all in one place ready to be worked on when time and parts allow 👌

When power washing the vehicle you REALLY should attempt to wash from the top downward, so that the subsequent dirt is washed away, and not overlaid with dirt from above.

Love the van. Body not in terrible shape for something 20 years old. Look forward to seeing the progress you make. It would be great 2nd vehicle to have on hand for bigger loads-like antiques!

This brought my first car to mind…1976 Datsun B210 $4029.00 I loved that car I was 16 my dad co-signed the loan thought it was outrageous that my payment was $56.00 a month. Again I loved that car. Wonder how many times I patted the dash.

I watch this channel because my dad was a motor mechanic and much of this brings back good memories. Ryan was saying in one of his videos that vans were difficult to get in France. Seems like you can’t go wrong by bringing back into action.

Glad the VW is getting some attention. I would buy back my 1989 240 GLT auto petrol estate that I sold in 2018, if I won some money. Had it 10 years and never any real trouble. Service items or age related preventative maintenance. Sold at 234,000 miles and ran great. Replaced it with a 1996 Volvo 940 LPT petrol estate automatic. Again no major issues. 210,000miles. paid £250 in 2016. You do get attached to cars. One car I was pleased to see go was a Lexus! 2006 Lexus IS 220 Diesel. Looked lovely, high miles. Immaculate MOT history and service history. Had 174k. Paid £1,475. Got AC working, new condenser, new Avon 7v7 tyres and a few months later the Head Gasket went after 18 months of ownership. Scrapped it and got £350. When it was collected clad to see it go as massive turbo lag, 6th gear unusable unless doing 80mph plus. Positives, comfy, lots of airbags good build quality apart from engine or gearbox.

I will enjoy watching refinish your van. My father restored old cars like a 1942 English Taxi Cab that somehow wound up in the States, 1936 Packard, and 1952 Cadillac.

How satisfying getting all of the algae off of the van. I find it hilarious that I have no interest in mechanics,but I sit glues to watching you sort out the vehicles. You’re doing a grand job. As a matter of interest, where did the lovely leather chair end up ? Loads of hugs K🇬🇧❤️❤️

Please can you tel me the Typ with your dimension width and size and ET. Thanks a lot. My T4 is in 4 Weeks hopefully ready for the new paint. 3:46 not that this is hugely important, but i thought you said "since the engine [gave out], it's been parts on the tree growing green." as in a metaphor for the leftover bits becoming like returning to the creator, becoming green again, having new separate little lives in the sunlight, like an idea of reincarnation in a way.. but then i saw it actually WAS kind of a green color and realized you'd said "parked under the tree, going green... ..."

There’s nothing more satisfying than a good power wash or as you say jet wash 😉 Incredible how long a car can last in France, in Canada 5 years and it’s a rust bucket! Salted roads are a killer!
