Met my first wife at Lake Delores in the 80's I visited this park 3 times a month and camped in the campground . Great memories of that place it was one of a kind back in the day !!!

Thank you. The commercial is actually two different commercials. One from when it was Lake Dolores Resort and one from later when it was Rock-A-Hoola Water Park. Took bits from each and synced them to a nice saxophone tune

I saw this place right after it had closed and it looked so bizarre- brand new looking but weeds sprouting in the parking lot. I came across the history years later and was so excited to find what my memory had held onto for 17 some years

I remember passing by this park a lot when I used to go to Vegas with my parents never really stopped by to check it out but now I see it and it’s like wow can’t believe that really happened to it

It's hard to believe what happened to it. But at the same time, it's not that hard to believe. Given its location, climate, and also the evolution of other waterparks, this was almost inevitable. It blows my mind that they're trying to open it up again

Thank you for watching. That vintage trailer was something fun I threw together using footage from that place when it was Lake Dolores Resort and then when it was Rock-A-Hoola water park. Then added some music to match the period and mood

It's always been owned by someone, but the park has been shut down and abandoned for about 16 years. It was recently bought by a different owner and they have plans to renovate.

Yeah, abandoned places tend to be that way. At least this place gets plenty of light. Other places I have visited are much darker creepier.

Lake Dolores is not a artificial lake. There is a underground spring below the lake that is currently capped off.
