The bays will be transformer pens for the old switch room, hence the sign warning about PCBs as old transformer oil often contains PCBs, and the blue things with the screw down lids are a duplex strainer setup.

The room with the steel grid floor is a fire pump room. The grid and sunken floor, sump, is if the pipes burst under the large pressures and volumes of water need a large sump to drain to.

Tubed to tubeless conversion by sealing the spokes with polyurethane. Is that safe? Polite, reminds me of gents of a certain persuasion that used to ride le velocette noddy bikes and pick on boys riding bicycles. Those were the days.

I remember reading about some guys that did get done in Italy (I think) for imitating police officers with those vests on. Mainly because the Italians wouldn't understand the 'polite' meaning, it was deemed to be more of an actual offence than it is over here as they can argue it's still an English word and so clearly not meant to be police, even though it obviously is.
