Note to Self: Just watched the first 10 minutes, I would grab hold of all those documents left behind, and transcribe them, they are over 100 years old and belong in the Public Domain, you could get volunteers to do the transcription work and publish the documents online!! Think about it, if I was there, I would do it myself. ❤

It seems to me that places like Ancestry would love to have those records to help anyone that's trying to follow their family tree and can't find out what happened to dear old Aunt Edna. The Government also keeps track of that type of thing. It is absolutely appalling that they want to build on that property, it's sickening.

I totally agree as it can does and would help a genealogy tracer learn about potential illnesses that are hereditary. And some one can have a gene for something that may come about every x amount of years and you could carry that gene that may show up in your children or grandchildren.

Oh David - what a great video, so sad, so creepy. The woman put in there while pregnant with her 6th child, I wonder what happened to the child. Why would people mistreat others that they should be caring for? Must be like the Nazi’s death camps, you couldn’t possibly have a conscious to work there. Or you did what you did just to survive. The poor children, no one to care, read stories, cuddle & snuggle them. I could have sat all day reading those patient records of why there were sent there. David, you are amazing & caring and the perfect person to take us on these journeys. Thank you so much, and as always, stay safe❤

I really think you should do a night time explore to give these poor souls a voice or to tell their store. I can't believe that they removed all those crosses and are planning to build where those poor people remains are, there's no way I'd want anything built on that land. Thanks again Dave and I hope you get to go back here again. Take care.

Thanks for bringing the obscenity of such places as this to light. To leave the records just thrown in heaps is disrespectful. It doesn't matter that it was a hundred years ago, each one was a person and should be respected. Even worse is the fact that the graves have any identification removed and houses to be built on them. The last vestiges of human beings lives stripped away from them.

All those records need to be put some place safe and maybe one day their family will find them. This hospital is depressing for what they did here. The poor people that were here and never went home for whatever reason. A sad situation that they now want to build on the property what will happen to the ones staying there forever? I saw and heard the doctors in a small group in the emergency room one of them was saying “ I don’t believe she’s having seizures!!” I have had them since I was 9 years old and I am 76 now, I think I know when I am having a seizure and it’s been documented by neurologists that I am an epileptic !!!!!!

Good luck with your weight loss. I am having to do the same thing. My General Practitioner M.D. told me the dietary formula for losing weight: 1) until you get your weight down to below 40 lbs over weight, do not eat any saturated fat, not even saturated fat in olive oil, avocado, etc. Find a butter substitute, etc. 2) Stop eating complex carbs (list too long here, but you can google what they are. 3) Stop eating sweets of any kind and all sugars including honey, etc. Except for Stevia and Malitol, restrict sugar substitutes to 2 servings a day. 4) Stop alcohol. Once you get your weight down to below obesity level (40 lbs overweight), you can add back in a SMALL amount of these. I always enjoy your posts and will be following you in your efforts with your diet that has worked for you in the past! I'm not a vegatarian, either.

Cascara is a laxative. Hints of the old stuff adds to the nostalgia of this place. Like those old fire safe wall plaques and the outside of the building. Gives off some old time vibes. Love it. Home COVID tests are expensive now. Treating it like the flu in the U.S.A.. Glad I saved a lot when they were free. 😄 The cemetery is an atrocity and it's a crime to remove the markers and the record of location of graves. The fact they are talking about developing the land. How is that even LEGAL?? Thanks for the great explore.

A lot of these people end up homeless on the streets self-medicating on drugs today. Although there were abuses of power, most patients needed care and stability.

I worked with alot of mental health patients. Usually the abuse you had to watch out for came from the patients. You really had to watch your back. One of my coworkers has just came back to work, from having back surgery. His patient grabbed ahold of him and was bouncing him up and down. I finally got the patient to let my coworker go. Nobody else could calm him down. I don't mess those day's. Lol

Those “rich” families dumped people in these facilities. Never explaining where the person went. Like a human trash dump. So they were not embarrassed at all.
