As someone who builds milspec wiring harnesses with autosports and raychem, even with a concentric twisted loom sealed and booted, I would never follow the original S chassis loom layouts. Even things like punctures can destroy your harness when routed like that, I advise everyone who’s going stand-alone to make a custom loom for S chassis

I found out about that problem after my first trackday with my S15. I was driving home (5hrs from the track) and tried to clean my windscreen I may also have had no wipers or headlights not sure it was about 10 years ago.

I run an aluminum skid plate in the wheel well. just screw it or rivet it into the fender rather than bashing the metal. Haven't had an issue in 12 years
