Absolutely love this one. As always, the picture quality and framing of their land, animals, and trees are beautiful. I should say that at 7:05, Duane says that the hybrid of plum and nectarine isn't a GMO. To clarify, GMO stands for a genetically modified organism, which includes hybrids. Although his tree was not designed in a lab, it is genetically modified by being a hybrid. If it weren't genetically modified, it wouldn't yield 'nectaplums' as some people call them. The term GMO has been closely associated to the fruits modified in laboratories, so it's understandable that he'd say that. However, it's counterproductive to think of 'GMOs' in this way, public perception of what gene modification truly entails becomes skewed. Again, stunning documentary as always, Paragraphic.
@Avelanche

Well what you said might have been true if he was growing a Nectaplum tree, but you see his was a Plumtarine tree.

Tree trunk paint, never heard of it, I abhor the notion of painting trees and rocks, though I do totally understand you painting the tree to get it going. We have that problem in the North, as the Sun warms up darker areas in the Winter, which can cause a small tree a great deal of trouble.

You have 1/2 Gpm on your trees went all over town no body sells them around here where did you get them if you bought them from Amazon do you have the number for that item thanks Gary ,one other thing when I plant those trees in Sept do I just build that first ring and then in a year build the 2nd ring or do both ring when planting trees thanks again Gary
