Good call, Glen. I'd rather sit on the ground with a cautious pilot than be in the air with a risk taker. 👍

I live in the USA and contributing to this wonderful group makes my heart very happy. This is truly an unselfish giving back of resources, time and energy by the pilots. Hats off to all involved!

Safety First. I learned that the hard way when I was 21. DON'T TAKE DUMB RISKS. Caution is important. I support any moment you take to be safe.

There are old pilots and there are reckless pilots but there are no old reckless pilots...

Glen - welcome to New Brunswick - Moncton area - weather. Where it might be foggy in Moncton, but ten minutes away, sunny and clear, or torrential rain. I've flown a lot over the years out of Moncton; always loved it and miss seeing that ground-view of landing and taking off. Thanks for the nostalgia! My brother was a pilot - got his glider and power through Air Cadets - and I wish he'd kept up with flying. I think he would be good for something like this (Maybe I'll suggest it to him anyway to donate or something). I hope you liked/loved your visit East and hope you come again.

I grew up not far from Sherbrooke - Stanstead PQ. Beautiful countryside and landscapes. Not many places to set down, though, unless you're on floats!!

That's twice now, that I'm craving a hot hamburger sandwich after watching Glen's videos.

His videos should come with a warning label! "Warning, content may induce hunger sensations in viewer" or something like that! 🤔😄

You seem to have very modern controls in that 1961 aircraft (ie: color displays with touch screen capabiltiies). Would love to know what's still original and what's been updated in there!

He has a build series on this channel for this aircraft. Quite the upgrade from where it started!

The only original instrument is the clock and the backup alcohol compass - everything else is new. If you go back to the start of the channel a couple of years ago you can watch the entire transformation.

I'm really enjoying the journey. How remote are the pick up locations for Hope Air normally?
@GlensHangar6 ай бұрын
In Northern Ontario and Quebec they can be fly in only communities.

Are you IFR qualified? I thought you only had VFR qualification! Getting VFR is awesome.
@GlensHangar5 ай бұрын
VFR only - so is the aircraft, VFR only, until I can afford to add the final component to upgrade MVU to IFR capable.

A lot of decision making along this trip (again) but as always stated: safety first - no comprises, flying cross country.

Do you fly with a passport in case you're diverted to land in the US?
@GlensHangar6 ай бұрын
Yes - just in case, especially with a pretty long leg over the US

In an Actual Air Flight? You can't always Wait Storms Out, can you? IF it's a True Run, aren't Patients on Schedules?
@GlensHangar5 ай бұрын
You are correct - in an actual patient scenario IFR pilots would step in to take the patient.
