It’s quite clear that the producer of this channel has NOT watched a single episode of this series. The click bait titles are so far from honest and it just enrages me that you’re even suggesting to viewers that their families don’t want them to be independent, but because the kids want that independence, they are happy to support them in that. Not because the parents are done wanting responsibility, and are abusive towards them. Pisses me off.

Yeah definitely click bait titles. The one that brought me here was "The Parents Who Kicked-Out Their Disabled Children" and the episode was about supportive parents trying to help their disabled children move into their own place... literally opposite of the title.

@@lynncarol9934 the parents did not kick them out, they were excited for them to have an opportunity at independence and were very supportive in that. You can’t mislead people into suggesting the parents don’t care about their children and kicked them out.

Im sure its hard for the parents and there is a strong bond thats difficult to break But they all deserve a chance to do independent things as much as they are willing and able. It seems to be a kind of balancing game to know what amount of interference is appropriate for an adult in age but not always in maturity.

Whoever Curtis loves is fine. He seemed to me to be a bit sweet on Jade and he had such a crush on Lewis that he couldn’t even look at him. Both were adorable reactions. Just let him be who he is. Focus on learning to control his enthusiasm so he doesn’t get too out of control and make his crushes uneasy like he did the support worker in the cafe. Curtis is a sweet soul. Let him be.

I have a real problem with how everyone keeps making Curtis feel guilty about having a girlfriend. Isn't a part of being true to yourself is following your heart? They are all fully accepting to him being gay but cannot accept if he has feelings towards a woman. Especially with the fact that he has a lot of trouble in his gay relationships. His mom said he has trouble communicating and becomes over anxious that he'll hurt the other persons feelings which results in him being alone. Then she said with a huge smile on her face that he's never had a relationship. It's not funny at all. Maybe finding no one yet is a sign he isn't fully sure where his heart lies. And putting pressure on him when he finally feels a connection can make it so much harder for him to develop any type of healthy romantic relationship. Because it's starting to look as if Curtis isn't worried about pleasing whom ever he chooses as a partner it seems that he's stressing about pleasing everyone else around him that keeps telling him who he should love. For him to open up about having a girlfriend with a huge smile on his face he keeps getting very cold responses and told that he wants a boyfriend instead. And then he looks so sad and torn again. If I knew Curtis personally I would be excited for him to have connected with someone romantically. And instead of saying, "Oh! But you want a boyfriend don't you?". I would be like I'm so happy to see such a big smile on your face! Tell me more about what makes you like this person and how does it feel have this person as a potential partner? What are you looking forward to the most being in a relationship? What are somethings you would like to do? etc. This response will help him learn how to navigate his feelings and how to process romantic relationships on a whole. Not being constantly put in a place to question everything. He'll never find love if he's repeatedly directed to pondering his decisions in such a negative way. If he's found a girlfriend be happy for him. Poor guy, I feel his mental tug of war about his feelings. When talking about a girlfriend he's all smiles and when he talks about having a boyfriend he always makes such an unhappy face. These are little signs that he may not want a boyfriend but going with it because his mom says he does. I think he should talk to a relationship therapist, someone that is neutral and truly help him figure out what he wants out of life and how to go about achieving that in a healthy way. There are people in this world that can literally love anyone and should have the right to do so without someone questioning them about it or making them feel like they've just commuted the biggest crime! I hope he learns how to follow his own heart and not who people keep telling him who to love. He seemed so happy and proud to have found someone until everyone started questioning him about wanting a boyfriend instead. He was truly happy and not one person could be happy for him or with him.

Self-sexuality, and interpersonal romance and intimacy are perfectly fine for people at that low developmental level, but sexual and erotic interpersonal relationships are not okay. People at that intellectual level may mimic sexual interpersonal behaviors due to what they observe in the world around them, but they are nowhere near mentally prepared to genuinely engage that way or to handle the reality of sex. It is wishful thinking at its most foolhardy, to pretend otherwise.

So I have an honest question… with the engaged couple, I think it’s great that they’re together, but have their mum’s ever thought about having a talk with them about intimacy? I mean, yeah they have DS but they are obviously very independent, and live well together. Have they had any conversations about sexual health, even if it had to modified so that they could understand things in the best possible way. Right now, they may not have an intimate relationship, but the more they are left on their own without their mothers being so heavily involved, stuff can happen. People absolutely do figure things out. If they were to ever become pregnant, I believe they could be wonderfully supportive parents, just with some help from family and care staff. I just wonder if the mum’s have ever thought about the idea of a sexual aspect to their already loving relationship.

I think Curtis is tired of his family determining his sexual orientation. Curtis may have not been exposed to having male friends in his corner as a young child. He is really sweet on men with a beard with a higher physical stature but is he seeking a father figure? You can tell that within the questioning of the rigid questions from family members that he is spaced out. He just wants connection. Don't press him. Where is his father? You can tell that he spaces out on pictures near the fireplace.

I am very sorry but I will speak the truth and sorry if I upset anyone...Shame on some of the parents for accepting and going along with wicked things of the world and wicked life styles for their children that are clearly abominations before Yahuah. It does not amaze me that this world just grows more evil and continues with lawlessness without a care in the world!. Dont you know that the scriptures says for a man to lay with another man is abomination before our creator. Its not ok too , for others to accept these things, these are corrupt things and evil and sorry but it comes from the devil and not Yahuah!. Its Yahuah's design for man and woman. You are going against your own creator who created you. For those who think I am sending hate speech here, I am not , I am only speaking the truth and possible if no one told you before. It needs to be said. The truth can be difficult to accept and swallow . You need to be told too, you need to repent of these sins. Yahuah is going to spit you out of his mouth!. If you do not repent. And sorry the belief that Most High loves everyone is just a lie. From the devil. To believe Most High loves everyone is to believe you can get away with anything, even if its evil. Lastly I also just find so many people nowadays are caught up in organized religions that cannot save. and caught up in false doctrines like he loves everyone. and doctrines of man. and not Yahuah!.
