Hi great video, Could you please explain how to find the modal damping coefficent for every natural frecuency on Abaqus? Thanks

There are some simple equations in the Abaqus documentation plz have a look.

great video man!! could you make a videos about steel damage using abaqus subroutine umat

You can do without UMAT , I will make a tutorial.

can you please tell what should be the unit of w to input in the given formula like it should be in radian or HZ. I am confused since the result of modal analysis is in HZ I think but not sure. So, should I convert the value of frequency from result of natural frequency or simply input the same value.
@KSSE_Engineer2 жыл бұрын
Check it in Abacuse documentation there is unit consistency. For this work I used mm,ton,s so the natural frequency will be in Hz.

@@KSSE_Engineer I am using m, Kg, sec and the result of natural frequency is in cycle/sec. So should I input the same value or convert it in radian for calculating alpha and beta.

great vidio, but what is the loading set in the "History output" ?
@KSSE_EngineerАй бұрын
You can make a set for loading.

given structural damping ratio in steel beam e.g damping ratio 0.5 and time period 10 sec how it is possible to analyse dynamically
