Hi, You have put 3 plies in composite stack layup setup but later it is showing 6 plies instead of 3? Why is that? Another question is that physically the carbon fiber composite sheets or fabric cloth comes in 45 and negative 45 degree fiber orientation with a thickness of (say) 0.55mm; so to model that should I split the thickness in two and model 2 plies? Waiting for your answer. Cheers

Must have clicked on the symmetry option, which adds up layers from an auto-designated midpoint on both sides. Refer to manual 6.14.

You have applied the second BC not to the initial step but to Step-1 where simultaneously you apply the load. This is not a good practice and in reality the BC should be applied on the initial step in case it's going to keep the structure stable
