Abaqus Standard: Interference Fit Using Axis Symmetry element

i have also axis symmetry in my model and therefore i modelled one quarter model similar to your case. However i used 3D stress C3D8R. Is it necessary to use axis symmetry element ?? as i dont see them in Element types
