Abasi X GGD Solo Contest 2024 [Unofficial Winner]

Long story short, I was contacted by Abasi last night and notified that I'd won the contest and guitar. I mentioned that I was not actually a US citizen, and they told me I could no longer win.
I'm very conflicted because their initial contest details mentioned nothing about a US only restriction - they updated the description about 10 days after their initial post to include this (about 6 paragraphs down). This seems very unethical and inconsiderate to me, as myself and multiple other non-US entrants had already written and posted solos, therefore equating our efforts to nothing.
Why is a company with a name as big as Abasi concerned with international shipping? I don't think there's anything to be done now since they've already announced another winner, but man it feels like a punch in the gut. At least I know that I was the favourite out of the entries they considered, but it seems a little ridiculous that I'm not able to win purely based on where I'm from.
Anyway, hope you enjoy my solo. I spent a lot of time and effort on it, the backing track is far from easy to write over.

Damn, I’m upset on your behalf. I don’t really like solos as I feel that the vast majority are uninspired slop but this was quite tasteful. Hopefully Abasi does something to rectify the situation, but if not, we all know who the real winner is and I won’t let them forget lol Cheers, man!
