This was the first song i heard on fingerstyle 2009. After that I decided to be a fingerstyle guitarist. Now I did my own arrangement of this song :)

I wish you could understand how truly unique, talented and blessed you are. Alas, you cannot understand as this comes naturally to you. As a guitar player who has been playing for 58 years of my life, I know how hard you have worked and how many hours you have devoted to your love of the guitar and the joy and happiness it brings to not only you but thousands of other people around the world. All players start to develop their own style and you present yours well. It reminds me of the legendary Chet Atkins. I've played bluegrass since I was 6 and won several trophies in flat picking contest. Some of us were asked to judge players and bands in local and regional contest. It was an honor to be a part of this. I see that it's been 5 years since this recording. It is difficult to transfer drive and emotion to a musical instrument. That, in my opinion, is the difference in a good player and a great player.

As I watch this young lady playing this awesome ABBA tune - I glanced over and noticed my ole six-string hanging on the wall. I couldn't help but notice that the strings appeared to be weeping. As I walked closer to get a better look, I could almost hear a soft, saddened voice coming through the sound hole repeatedly saying _why doesn't he make my strings sound as good when he plays me_ 😄 Fantastic tune and awesome cover!

Without a doubt though there is nothing here in this world for me whatever it is and I guess I just dont really expect to find anything in hell that could provide any happiness. Thats the thing about this "world" Im certain this isnt the world God created because in this place there is death and what God created is eternal and this truly is not and thankfully it is temporal and will end. If you have a look on Eddies profile you'll realize that Eddie has subscribed to almost every fingerstyle guitarist on youtube. Even the unknown ones with only a few subscribers.. I always find that Eddie already subscribed to them. ;-) ^_- These people (e.g. Eddie and Andrew) haven't gotten their perception of this whole stuff and their first fingerstyle techniques from nothing.. They've done what has worked for most people: Watched and learned. Lots of hard work. :-D I love these guys and I appreciate every upload no matter if it's Gabrielle, Peter, Eddie, Gareth, Sungha or someone else. There's always something amazing to experience for me, my ears, sometimes even my eyes (not mentioning the inner eye when listening to this stuff). I learn a lot (my ears, my fingers, my soul) from watching and listening to all these guys. So no big surprise to see two of the more known fingerstyle guitarists post on the same video. Especially these guys that have this great connection. :)

What is truly great about her playing is that she incorporates the little percussion muted strums on the 2nd and 4th beats while working them around the fingerpicking. Thats *REALLY* hard to do well. I;ve been playing a long time (35 years) and while the fingerstyle and fingerpicking parts are certainly difficult, they are doable with a bit of practice. However, rolling the percussion into the mix, with the accuracy she has, makes it an order of magnitude more difficult.
