Romans 8:15: "For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, 'Abba! Father!'"
Galatians 4:6: "And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, 'Abba! Father!'"
Mark 14:36: "And he said, 'Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.'"
In these verses, "Abba" is an Aramaic term of endearment akin to "Daddy" or "Papa," conveying a deep sense of intimacy, trust, and dependency on God as a loving Father. Through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, believers are adopted into God's family and can approach Him with the same intimacy and trust that Jesus demonstrated during His earthly ministry. This term highlights the relational aspect of our connection with God as His children.
