Me and my dad (81yrs.) were sitting at the dining table and listened to Abba's new songs, yesterday... while we watched through the tall windows of the living-room into the green of our garden. We were near tears because of remembering my mom, who liked Abba so much and passed away 5 years ago. There was so much melancholie, consoling and joy at the same time by hearing ABBA's wonderful new songs. Mom, we would have danced through the living-room, if you were still alive.

Dear ABBA,.... I’m a 58 year old retired US Army Paratrooper, and I just listened to your song, ”I still have faith in you”. I’m crying like a small child, but I have a huge smile on my face, and warmth in my Heart. I have the feeling of happiness once again thanks to you. I was married to my beautiful wife Lisa for 34 WONDERFUL years....she was my everything. She played your music at our wedding, and on our anniversaries, and when I returned home from deployments away from her while I was in the military....she adored you, and your music! YOU made her so happy with your music. I took her to see the Broadway show “Mama Mia” in New York for our last wedding anniversary and she was so happy,... YOU ...made her happy, both on the inside and on the outside. Because of YOU, I have this vision, this mental picture of her in my mind from that night with her huge smile and big brown eyes bright and happy...thank you for that gift!! She passed away very suddenly not too long after taking her to see that show, and every time since then, when I would hear your songs on the radio, I can picture her smile, but your music has been fading from the radio as the years have gone by. But Tonight, hearing you sing once again!!...you have brought my Lisa back to me... I can see her clearly in my mind once again, ..your music has brought her back to life, and back to me In ways I just I can not explain....I just wish she could have been hear to witness this event, she would have gone crazy!! LOL...Thank you!! You have brought peace back to my soul again, and I can feel the love in my heart once more where it has been a cold and lonely place since she left to be my angel in heaven. Thank you, thank you, my dear dear friends, ABBA....and one more thing my old friends.... YES,..yes, ..... I DO hear the drums now, .........Fernando.😇

Notice how many different languages there are in these comments? I’ve already seen people writing in German, Spanish, Russian, Swedish and Greek. That’s how beloved ABBA is all around the world. The didn’t have to write and record new songs to do a reunion, and they certainly didn’t have to make their comeback single sound like an instant classic. But they did it anyway. It wasn’t nostalgia that made me cry watching this video,; rather, it was the fact that they care so much about their legacy that they waited until they had a song this good. Thank you for the music.

I was driving along earlier today when this emotional song was broadcast on the radio....I could've sworn it was ABBA..deeper female voices, but familiar....it was! I thought to myself, "I know all the Abba songs, for what reason had I missed listening to this one all those years ago? Why hadn't I heard it even once over the years? Was this some obscure B-side extra that had been strangely uncovered?" When I heard that it had only just come out, the enormity of the reunion and collaboration dawned on me....one of the greatest pop groups of all time made a comeback after almost four decades, against all odds! All still alive and kicking...fantastic! 🇸🇪❤️

This song is a perfect re-introduction of ABBA to the world. It sounds new and old all at once and epitomizes what has always made them brilliant. The moment I heard Frida hit that lower register it brought tears to my eyes! You can hear the life and experience in her voice and it adds another layer to their sound that just wouldn't have been possible in the 1970s or 1980s. I'm so excited to hear the rest of the album!
Don't Shut Me Down, their other new single, is also an amazing reintroduction. While this one is a sweeping ballad, Don't Shut Me Down is an energectic dance track full of high melodies. Love it!

I was a kid in the 1970's and in the 1970's there was no way you weren't exposed to ABBA. I was always a rocker so I looked down my nose at ABBA. As I've grown older, and became a musician myself, I have developed an appreciation for what ABBA did. They were 4 talented musicians that created a unique sound. No one ever sounded like them before or since. Since so much of what is put out in the music industry is cookie cutter crap having a sound all your own is a huge accomplishment.

I think that, after these 39 years, Benny, Björn, Agnetha and Frida have finally understood that they are an immense part of the history of music. I want to believe that, by accepting that responsibility and acting with their well known humility, they know deep down that they owe humanity one more gift. It is not a matter of money. I'm 56. Since 1974 I have experienced the release of all their singles and albums with great excitement, and I could never imagine ABBA releasing another after 'The Visitors', which marked the end of an era. Having listened to two new songs, it wouldn't be fair to have an opinion of the new album, though it already sounds wonderful. It may not be an ABBA reunion the way people wish, but the only idea of enjoying a new album is a blessing. I don't think there is a single week in my life that I have not listened to their music, which has proven to be timeless and beyond all trends. Thanks once again for the music, ABBA!

Absolutely if Abba's comeback infuses hope and joy to people at this time, that really is great. It has been a terrible time for many I personally know too, and anything that makes people happier is of course welcome. In the context of that, the debate whether the music is 'great' or not becomes very irrelevant. A parallel possibly is popular music of WW2 where some of it wasn't always 'great' music but it gave pleasure to many people, and that in itself is admirable. After all these years and all the changes in music and many artists changing their music to keep up with the times and yet ABBA still manage to keep their sound intact and it still fits in with today's music. Any aspiring artist needs to look no further than ABBBA for inspiration, they are truly the original band of all time.

I can not say how emotional this has made me feel. They remain true to their unique style and the angelic voices of Frida and Agnetha are the tonic we need for a broken world. Thank you for the music. A painful 40 year wait has paid off with class and majesty. I love it.

One of Abba's secrets is that when Agneta or Frida were not in the foreground in a given song they did their best to make the "first" one even better. Their "competition" has always been about better sharing and helping rather than shining separately.

My journey with abba began when they did, at its 70's beginnings as a young kid during Grammer school. The music faded as I grew, although it never disappeared. A longing for that youth that faded was a tug wondering, what ever happened to the simple joy I felt over those voices and music. That longing grew into curiosity. I was hit with sadness as I would learn of such heights they seem to have fallen from personally. It was during this period that I personally fell through a hurtful and painful divorce involving 4 children. In an incredible irony, I held this music close to assist me in those years of personal struggles and I would come to understand what much of these 4 people overcame. As I grow into the autumn of life, I know the true joy of perservering through those trials, and I use these 4 beautiful people as an example of what love can overcome. Because, only love could overcome those depths. I will never again ask anymore of this group for they have no need to ovovercome anything! ❤

An absolutely astonishing comeback. I don't think any artist has stayed away so long and returned so triumphantly. The music of ABBA is part of so many people's life who grew up in the 70s. These 2 new songs are as good as the best in their incredible catalogue. Album is pre-ordered tickets to experience the show in London are booked for next summer. Bravo ABBA the wait has been long, but the return has exceeded all possible expectations.
