Definitely! One of the only bands that you can reliably listen to any one song and it will most likely be a hit and something to remember forever! They are just that good! It's amazing that they can make great music each time, but at the same time so different each song! That *is* genious!

ABBA sold around 350,000,000 records during their career. They have a huge back catalog and are the sound of the 70's in Europe and Australia

I would say they sold closer to 500,000,000, they were second only to The Beatles.

@@markstevenson7577 not to mention that Benny and Bjorn wrote Momma Mia, which has been one of the longest running and highest at grossing musicals ever( started in 1999 and still going) and then made 2 movies based on the musical. The Momms Mia franchise alone has made >$1b!

You can trace their lives, marriages, children, divorces throughout the boys songwriting brilliantly brought to greatness by the girls voices and the harmonies. Genius

Thanks for sharing the ABBA. Another good one featuring Frida is "Super Trouper". You should really check out some live footage too. "Does Your Mother Know - Hole In Your Soul" from Wembley 1979. It's an official sequence clip and really shows what they were like in concert.

Good morning for you and thank you for continuing to discover ABBA (You did "Mamma Mía" two mounths ago) remember ABBA was two couples: Anni Frid Lyngstad (brunette singer) & Benny Andersson (barder pianist songwriter) Björn Ulveaus (guitarist songwriter) & Agnetha Fälkstog (blonde singer) "Knowing me knowing you" (1976) is on the album "Arrival" along with "Dancing Queen" and many other beautiful songs "Knowing me knowing you" is ABBA's second biggest UK hit (after Dancing Queen) with five weeks in #1 So different and beautiful both songs That is the characteristic of ABBA, to be very versatile, avoid repetition and seek excellence and perfection in their melodies and vocal harmonies. The lyrics are simple but very deep It allows to express the pain of a separation And contrasts it with a very catchy melody (another ABBA characteristic) The combination of female voices is pure beauty (my favorite passage is when Agnetha does the echoing voice of Frida's lead voice) The video is one of their best They constantly play with the image of the threesomes And with separations For future ballads I suggest you add to your lists: "I've been waiting for you" (1975) "My love, my life" (1976) "One man, one woman" (1977) I hope to continue see You in more reactions to ABBA songs I wish you a great dayTake care

*Coming from a native Swede* The band members were couples; Agneta (the blonde) was married to Björn (the clean-shaven man), and Anni-Frid (the redhead) was married to Benny (the bearded man), but they later got divorced, and I think, I THINK, that this song is in significance to that.

@@paulknight9998, I think you should dig a little deeper into the music, lyrics, and meaning of those songs. I admit they are not obvious. And this is exactly why they are considered hidden gems by people who know something about ABBA. It took experts in music long years to discover their value.
