I think “Lay all your love on me” is one of Abba’s best song
@scootergirl366210 ай бұрын
it is hella underrated
@paulyeomans85075 жыл бұрын
The music was written to sound like a Lutheran Hymn by Ulvaeus/Andersson hence why it sounds perfect on an organ.
@WillCMay3 жыл бұрын
The chorus is actually based on a variation someone wrote on a Tchaikovsky theme, although it's not exactly the same

So beautiful playing for a such beautiful song. It is really amazing. The orgue is wonderful. The sounds are great. Played with excellent agility in your hands. I enjoy so much listening to it especially the last 2 minutes while you play with the song. Amazing and excellent.

Great sounds and playing. The cathedral sounds at the beginning certainly work well with this up tempo tune. (I've been saying for a long time that it's time the church cheered up a bit and got with it. Ha Ha)

Absolutely fantastic! Sounds huge!!! Love the choice of your sounds and the fact that you included all those details. It perfectly captures the sound and feel of the original (love the sounds for the first two verses, which faintly sound like a Hammond Jimmy Smith style jazz/percussion solo registration but more complex and voice-like in timbre - and it all is very, very tasteful. Nothing sounds cheap. The big "all stops out" pipe organ at the beginning is a brilliant idea!

@countryguy Pedaling is easy for me, thanks to hours and months and years of Virgil Fox pedal scales. Just takes practice! I use the foot switches for whatever I need for a particular song; but always the left expr. switch is set to "Preset UP"

Well done. I love watching your footwork but for the life of me I don't know yourself and others can play pedals with both feet. I have difficult just using my left foot. I noticed that you used one of the pistons for the fill in. What do you use the other 4 pistons for as well as the 2 foot switches on the volume pedal?

I guess this answers my question about what this piece would sound like on the theatre organ in Indianapolis that's a hybrid of a Whirlitzer and a classical organ.
