This is a brand still gives me lots of fond memories. We had many National products nothing ever failed or broken..!! They still carry the same legacy through Panasonic.. Love both National and Abba..

They were paid tyr amazing sum of $1 million dollars for these commercials for.National (later Panasonic). The one and only time Abba sold a song for commercial use. Not a bad sum for one tune in 1976! But they just never needed to worry about money ever again.

no, they also sold Just Like That for a diet cola commercial in the mid 80's. It played the sax interlude as some lady spoke of the benefits of this new sweetener called Nutra-Sweet...so you can lose weight-just like that.

@@matthiasbutenschon1533 I forgot about that, thanks. I saw it once, long ago. That jogged my memory of a motorcycle commercial I saw one Saturday morning. It was either Suzuki or Honda motorcycles and their response to Karasaki lets the good times roll series. I saw the commercial once. It was a motorcycle that was riding down a series of hills with Bjorn singing I'd do anything to be back home in Santa Rosa.

Poor Australia if only they realised they were actually getting Panasonic, which is really Matsushita, which is a company with such a heavy worldwide identity crisis! The only thing is that the name 'National' is better suited to this song as it has only three syllables. LOL :D
