Abba - Ring Ring - Full Performance (Agnetha replaced by Inger Brundin, Austrian TV 1973)

At that time in 1973, Abba was still called "Björn & Benny", but Agnetha & Anni-Frid/Frida were already part of the group. However, when Agnetha Fältskog gave birth to her daughter Linda in 1973, she was replaced for a short period by Inger Brundin, who we see in this video, on a trip to West Germany and Austria.
Spotlight was a music show for the youth, which was aired between 1968 and 1978 by the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF). It was the counterpart to the shows "Beat Club" or "Musikladen" in Germany.

I think this was the second time Inger Brundin stepped in for Agnetha. The first time was on German TV in January 1973 when Agnetha was heavily pregnant. Not sure what the rules are now but airlines (or a lot of them) wouldn't carry very pregnant women back then. Agnetha was still able to perform because she appeared with the others at Melodifestivalen in February, weeks later. This performance was in Austria not long after she had given birth. We have to remember that this was early 1973, a full year before ABBA won Eurovision. So although the four group members were well known in their homeland, not many people knew of them in the rest of Europe. That's why the felt they could temporarily substitute one at that time. After they became super famous, they'd never perform with one of them missing.

Early ABBA records were billed as Bjorn and Benny. Here in the US, "Ring Ring" was the first 45 (on Atlantic) billed as ABBA in mid-1973. It did OK, but when the group won Eurovision the following year, "Waterloo" hit big in Europe and the US, and the worldwide success followed. Inger looks good; sorry to hear she passed so young.

It was well documented about Agnetha being pregnant during this period in documentaries and wasn't hidden away, as you suggested.she was in her final stages of her pregnancy during Ring Ring being performed as a contender for the 1973 swedish Eurovision competition which they didn't win.they even thought she might not be able to perform and have the baby during this time or at the competition itself..there are heaps of photos from this period with Agnetha heavily pregnant and ready to pop,and photos of linda growing up with the members of ABBA.. linda also appears in the live music video for "I Have A Dream" both of therir children weren't hidden away but were kept out of the limelight but they were there and regularly mentioned..Bjorn and Agnetha had kidnapping threats made, after they divorced. Agnetha has also done solo albums with each child when they were kids,in swedish
