Your joy shows in the reaction. Yes, both Anni-Frid and Agnetha had superior voices which added to the overall feel of their songs. Your enjoyment of their voices and the energy in the song shows readily. Great reaction video!

Every so often the combination of the perfect voices and the perfect melodies comes together and forms something special. ABBA was one of those times. Their melodies will live forever. Thanks for the reaction. It was wonderful. (SO are you).

Greetings from an Australian ABBA fan since 1976 😊👍 I totally agree with Synchronicity Man's recommendations. Often, when you see both Frida and Agnetha singing together, and they're singing the same notes (rather than harmonising), it is known in ABBA-fandom as 'the third voice', because Benny & Björn (who wrote every song ABBA released, bar one medley of songs for a charity in West Germany that they recorded in 1975) would craft the production of their music so much that, unless Frida and Agnetha were harmonising, their voices would often meld-together as the 'third voice'. And as much as possible, Benny & Björn would ensure that there was an equal amount of songs between Frida and Agnetha to sing as the leader on their studio albums. Additionally, no one from ABBA claims to be the first or second 'A' or 'B' in the name ABBA (although, there's a smattering of 'fans' out there who have unfairly seen Agnetha *only* as 'The Voice of ABBA' (which makes it sound like all the other three: Frida, Benny & Björn did was make the coffees and clean the toilets ...lol). Essentially, no one was more above the other in ABBA; Benny & Björn even paid Frida & Agnetha as equal quarters of the group, as they both also contributed very much into the crafting of their songs. Additionally, if you ever hear stories of Frida & Agnetha hating each other, those stories are rubbish and conveyed by trolls; Frida & Agnetha are both different types of people, but they have been friends for very many decades (and there's many photos over the decades to support their fondness for each other, and are wonderful to see, as are photos where all four show their sense of humour and fun; none of them took have ever taken themselves too seriously, which I think is yet another of many reasons why ABBA have always remained popular). One of many reasons why ABBA music is evergreen, would be because they saw themselves more as a studio group than a touring group (each of them got the 'tour-bug' out of their systems during their individual careers in the 1960s; and in comparison, ABBA toured very little [briefly as a cabaret act in 1971, then for brief set-times as ABBA in 1973, 1975, 1977 and 1979]; thus, ABBA spent a lot of time on each song, so as to ensure that each song sounded essentially like a different story (thus, why I've stated 'crafting', rather than just producing). Additionally, ABBA performed in many genres of music, which adds much to their treasure-trove of songs, so not just pop, but rock, vaudeville, big band, funk, gospel, disco, classical, folk, reggae, 'schlager', early-80s techno, Fats Domino style New Orleans R&B (eg: 'Why Did It Have to Be Me', that Synconicitty Man suggested), even an early example of emo/goth on one of the songs in their last studio album from 1981 ('The Visitors'): a wonderfully comparatively-sparse song called 'Like An Angel Passing Through My Room'. Essentially, I'd say ABBA would have done virtually every well-known genre except for rap (although there are two non-ABBA songs, done by ABBA members, that use rap: Frida did an anonymous sexy rap-cameo in Adam Ant's 'Strip' (from the 1980s, where the video has an actress mouth Frida's rap - and the reason why she did it 'anonymously' was as she wanted to contribute after she was asked, but it was thought that ABBA's then-manager [Stig Andreson] may not have wanted her to do that ...lol). And Benny & Björn wrote, with Tim Rice, a song from their 1980s musical 'Chess', called 'One Night In Bangkok', where U.K. actor: Murray Head raps the verses. Frida was originally a jazz singer, where her voice (mezzo-soprano) was very mature by the time she was 13, when she started singing with a dance band. She also sang pop and (what is known as) 'schlager' which is probably also known as 'middle-of-the-road' music (as that genre was called in the 1970s). ABBA's 'I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do' is an ABBA example of 'schlager'. In her 1960s pre-ABBA career, Agnetha (a soprano) mainly wrote and sang pop (B&B often asked her if she'd like to write a song for ABBA, but she only ended up wanting to contribute two songs: 'Disillusion', from ABBA's 1973 album 'Ring Ring', and 'I'm Still Alive', which can be found on the 'ABBA - Live at Wembley Arena' album set, recorded in 1979). Benny, was in a Swedish rock group, called the Hep Stars. Benny wrote all of ABBA's music (although there was help with ideas from Björn; and neither of them can actually read music; just like Paul McCartney & John Lennon apparently couldn't read music either). Björn was in a folk band called the Hootenanny Singers (originally called the Westbay Singers). He provided most of the ABBA lyrics, with some assistance from ABBA's then-manager. By the way, Frida's name is pronounced "Freeda" (and was born Anni-Frid Lyngstad; thus, one of the As of ABBA), and Agnetha's name is pronounced crisply as "Ahnyettah". Here's a link to her pronunciation: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3mtnopuer5ro5I Thank you for your ABBA-reaction, and I look forward to seeing more. P.S. I hope I haven't put you to sleep with my very long reply to your reaction ...lol. Cheers from here.

Wow @ Anthony Rogers- You're a fountain of knowledge on the subject of ABBA. Very interesting stuff. Are you a band biographer?

@@synchronicityman9062 Thank you 😉😆 No, unfortunately, I'm not their biographer, just someone who gets carried away (...actually, probably more like 'possessed' 😂) writing about ABBA 🤣 As ABBA have Carl Magnus Palm as their (unofficial?) biographer, if I could be Frida's (official) biographer, that would be bliss 😍🤩 ...even if I can only do interviews via social distancing 😄 ...and I'd be happy to do free drawings for her, if she'd like 😁😆

Thanks for the reaction. There's plenty of Frida songs too (Knowing Me, Knowing You - Super Trouper - Andante, Andante - I Have A Dream - Money Money Money) just to name some. Agnetha is great but so is Frida and when they harmonized together you said it "Angelic". You know most "''Pop" groups faded for me but with them they just keep sounding better and better to me. Tanks again.

@@akagenie502 They split the songs about 50/50. But camera guy's always focused more on Agnetha even when Frida was the lead vocalist. In some clips Agnetha even turns away or turns her back to them. I think she felt bad about it. They are both top notch vocalist.

I've just found your channel and it's good to see someone else entering the ABBA rabbit hole!! If you want to focus on Frida then you could try 'Fernando', 'Knowing Me Knowing You', 'Money Money Money', 'Super Trouper' or 'When All Is Said And Done'. But she REALLY excels herself on 'Why Did It Have to Be Me', live in Australia 1977. It's a big fan favourite. It would be great if you could check that one out. I think you'd be the first 'reactor' to do so!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3-mdadrZsiqgtU
