ABBA That's Me Reaction 1. I think this one is def underrated. Gina and HAHATOLDYOUOSO, I can agree. I'm nto saying this is their best piece but it's getting up there. 2. The lyrics are great. 3. I see this being for girls that are players and dudes that are getting played.

This was always one of my favorite Abba songs. I love the lyrics 'There's a special love, like an eagle flying with a dove, I'll find it in the end, if I keep on searching, until then....." I love the way the song changes melody, I don't know if you would call it chord changes when they sing, Are you sure, you wanna hear more.. thanks for the reaction. By the way I think Carrie is just a character in the song. Another seriously underrated song is I've been waiting for you.

Carrie is the girl from the Stephen King horror movie of the same name, Sissy Spacek played her in the movie, watch the film, you certainly wouldn’t wanna marry that one!.

I thought Carrie was a reference to the Stephen King book character. The book came out in 1974 and the movie was in 1976. This song was release in 77 so it's possible Bjorn took some inspiration from the story of this sweet girl who snaps. The chord progressions though and then the production. It really gives you a lot to listen too.

Regarding the character of "Carrie" in this song, I think the term you may be looking for is "a free spirit"... a mysterious, hippie-shaman type woman who is an "Indigo child" of the Earth and cannot be tied-down emotionally to any one person. There are a lot of us out there now trying to heal the ills of humanity. This is like an anthem to free spirits... and the normal people who cross their path and become infatuated with them.

This has become one of my favorite ABBA songs (top 5) because-on top of everything else it has going for it-the background vocals are superb (perhaps their best). This is what I think of when I hear the expression "hauntingly beautiful". The lyricless background vocals sound like an old Disney picture denoting Carrie's ability to place someone under her spell.

I think they are depicting a character called 'Carrie', just like Money Money Money it is obviously about a character. The promo even puts in some shots from the MMM promo, also from the Knowing Me Knowing You film, and the bird shot at the end is from Eagle? Not the best film but I think it was hastily cobbled together at a later stage. As with Angeleyes you want more from the arrangement, but really I find this very full as it is. The keyboard scales and the combination of upbeat rhythm and sad sounding vocals at some points is interesting.

Was the B side of the Dancing Queen single in most territories. In those days the B side was kind of considered second tier tracks from an album to pass off as B sides of singles.

I don’t understand why they said “I’m Carrie not the kind of girl you’d marry”. Would have been better to say “l’m clearly not the kind of girl you’d marry” , as that’s what I thought they said for many years.

There are too many people using the word "Underrated" every time you do a reaction. It's all rubbish, these song's aren't underrated , they are all a part of ABBA'S journey to International Superstardom. Without these songs they wouldn't be where they were.
