I'm VERY picky when it comes to covers of ABBA songs - ABBA are sacred to this Swede, I tell you - however, Tommy has a free pass in my book and he has EARNED IT 🌟

You can’t go wrong with ABBA and Tommy. Can have your cake(birthday cake) and eat it too. I’m a huge abba fan which thru twists of utube how I found your channels with tommy. Tommy does such a good job on this song too. Neither is a better version. Did you know abba came out with a new album in November 2021 after 40 years and have a state of the art concert in London for 1 1/2 years now. Maybe they’ll move it to Las Vegas sometime it’s a possibility rumor, the only way I’ll ever see it ,if it comes to the US. It’s Still nice to see you both back. Our internet is spending most of days down always bad when stuck at home. 🙏🙏🙏

Well, now that he's feeling better I think it's time for something more upbeat than this, though I certainly appreciate the song, the group, the genre, and the memories that go with it, make no mistake about it! ABBA are a Swedish group, and, yes, they were huge in the Netherlands, but their popularity stretched across many countries during the seventies and eighties. As for their name, you can pronounce it either way, cuz it's an acronym of the first letters of their first names arranged as a palindrome. At first they called themselves Björn & Benny, Agnetha & Anni-Frid, but they soon changed it to the less complicated and easier to remember 'ABBA'. "The Winner Takes It All" was released in July 1980. It is said that the song is widely misunderstood as being written about Ulvaeus and Fältskog's marital tribulations; Ulvaeus wrote the lyrics, but has stated they were not about his own divorce; Fältskog has repeatedly stated she was not the loser in their divorce. In the United States, the single peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. I loved Tommy's rendition of this song, and, like you, especially when he took it up a notch , or two, or three! Definitely one of the best Tommy's covers and as others have said, they are all Swedish. I always loved ABBA especially this song, and I love Tommy's music too, so I definitely enjoy both versions. Tommy's cover is amazing and I love that he chose a different approach. Instead of trying to sound as broken and vulnerable as Agnetha did (let's be honest, nobody can beat her there, this song was too personal for her), he sounds angry and sarcastic, which definitely works. Both are amazing. Another suggestion: check out Dino Jelusick Stormbringer (All star jam), a cover of a Deep Purple song, it's amazing

ABBA is Swedish band they won Eurovison in Birmingham/ England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 1974 and conqer the world but splitt when the two couples divorce Björn was married to Agneta and Björn was married to the brunett Frida she is from Norway.
