I think ABBA had a love for reggae they didn't quite want to admit. Even Agnetha asked for a reggae song to sing on one of her solo albums... it's called The Heat is On. I actually really like this song, and you can hear what a beautiful speaking voice Frida had (and has) during the little intro. The part where they sing together is amazing.

As immersed as I've been getting into ABBA the last several months through their whole catalogue from Ring Ring thru Voyage, this one has been starting to become a Top 10 favorite of theirs. So beautiful, gorgeous and soothing. Frida is an angel in this, but then Agnetha comes in on the harmonies with her even sweeter angelic (and higher) voice and blends in so well - as countless other ABBA tunes. I've come to believe they are one of the most diverse genre-bending bands in history. They do pop, they do rock, they do musical themes, they do folk, and yes, they even do their version of reggae. I envision being in the Caribbean on an island with these two beauties serenading me while on the beach with a sunset sinking below the ocean horizon. Pure magic!

Tropical Loveland doesn’t get the love it deserves. It’s a really good song, obviously not in their top songs, but it’s not bad AT ALL. It has amazing Frida vocals, harmonies with Agnetha are spot on and it makes you feel happy.

I was hoping you to do the video take that fellow fan Lisa M linked and i agreed it was a finest choice.It feautured Frida's prologue holding softly in her hands a tiny Aussie animal i and then all 4 were featured sailing to a tropical place Down under having fun eating fruits and stuff on some kinda isolated tropical beach.Just for a change.But anyway that one was also second best choice.Frida is warm and beautiful here.Agnetha an angel.Two exotic sirens and two happy lucky good hearted guys.ABBA.Didn't want anything more.Next one is a bomb.SOS!Can't wait.

Hello again, and Thanks for the reaction to all ABBA songs "Tropical Loveland" (1975) is a good song in your genre, reagee, and thinking that ABBA was Swedish it's very good Nice melody, Frida beautiful in leads voice, Agnetha sweet in second voice at the end, lovely chorus by Björn & Benny (I must admit that when was hearing the chorus comes in my mind regards from an old TV serie called Gilligan's Island, because I'm 65 years) You must see the three TV perfomances: in Eddy go round show 1975 with Agnetha playing the piano As you could listen, ABBA did a lot of different styles and genres in their third album 'ABBA': "Mamma Mía" is pure pop "Hey hey Helen" is glam rock "Tropical Loveland" is reagee and the next "S.O.S." is pop progresive rock and much more I wish you a great week My best regards from Buenos Aires (Argentina ) South America

I have always loved this song. It’s a more “chill” track, but, like most all of ABBA’s songs it progresses and adds instrumental elements and varied vocal inflections and emphasis from one part of the song to the next. I do have to say though, I really wish after you had finished the initial, first playback, you would have gone back and played it again from start to finish without any cuts or breaks. This song is a slow-burn, meaning you need to hear how it moves from one section to another so that you are hearing how the transitions lead the listener from verse to chorus , break, verse, chorus, etc. - uninterrupted. You then appreciate the beautiful, gentle and melodic and harmonious musical little holiday you go on as Frida’s beautiful vocals lead you along. I’ve always loved Frida’s spoken opening to this video and her alluding to the Cyclone Tracy disaster which had struck Darwin in the North of Australia. ❤ABBA❤

This video showed Benny playing accordion which I don't think he has done and other videos and in another video agnetha is playing keys As far as this being a real live vocal I'm not sure either it sounds just like the record but if it's not live they did a great job lip syncing . Next up is SOS which you have heard if you decide to do a reaction you could do the official video or lyric video. I truly believe this is where Abba started to find their signature sound and you are in for incredible treats my friend. I think you will understand why many of us are superfans
