When I flew, there was no need for authorization. now you need authorization. the natural monument of montecassino is part of the management of the Aurunci mountains park, you can send a request via the park authority's email address.

@@theedgepoland I can't say, in the last year the parks have become very restrictive in accepting overflight requests for recreational activities.
