I love your rule of not going more than 3 days without writing-I need to implement this for myself as I am getting older and memory is fading faster 😆❤️

I love the idea of using the tear-away calendar for journaling the day! So practical and a way to reuse the pages you’d just throw out anyway. It even add a decorative element.

There were a lot of take aways from your vlog today....especially your daily journaling habit and not letting 3 days go by without journaling! Fabulous, and simple reminder . I like the idea of journaling in the evening with a cup of tea......I am going to re-watch this episode and take some notes...by the way, your videos with Job were super fun to watch!!!! You both speak so well and make a wonderful team!!~It is going to be Fall here soon and it is getting a little cooler here in NY. Be well.

Thanks for sharing…it’s always interesting seeing other people’s journals and daily journal habit. Love your pens! I have so much trouble trying fountain pens 🤦🏼♀️ I like smaller chunky journals for my daily notes. I skip days when we travel so I just use blank journals with no pre-filled dates. I also use less ephemera these days…save it for my junk journals. I do better writing in the morning so I start with a daily affirmation or inspiring quote Ali g with setting my intentions for the day. Then I end the day with what I’m thankful for and a short description of anything special about that day. I was adding some photos but it really chunks out my book 😆

This is true, Abby! The longer you wait to catch up on your pages, the more demotivating it appears and eventually its easy for you to just ignore journaling altogether. Thanks for sharing your rules to yourself for journaling, it doesn't seem intimidating so I might try it for myself as well. As always, great video :)

Super, super inspiring! I will do a quite similar Thing for next Year, also using a Hobonichi A6. Thank you for sharing this Journal here, it looks really great!

Love this! Didn’t know you’re Filipina! 🇵🇭 I have an a5 stalogy that I use for memory keeping but I decided next year I wanted to add a journal. More of my inner thoughts, something’s my kids shouldn’t read depending on the mood. I got a b6 and now rethinking the size but I’ll see I guess when I get it. I’m so excited to journal. Yours is definitely adding to the excitement!

I feel the same way with my Hobonichi Avec (first time using it this year) and I like reading entries about how much I've grown. And I need to implement the more than three days rule because I'll go a week without writing and somehow I'll find a way to remember what happened that week.

I love the little crate you have your silicone stickers in - can you share a link to where I can find one of those?

I'm so glad you gave us a close-up look at the body text in your entries. However, for someone whose penmanship I admire so much, Abbey, I can't help but get stuck on the lowercase R and G letters in your (mostly) cursive writing! You seem to have simplified them so the 'r' looks like an 'i' without a dot, and your 'g' looks like a 'j' without a dot (especially in the "-ing" combo where "ng" looks like "ry"), which combined with your relatively short ascenders, starts making your very neat writing nearly illegible. I was so surprised. Of course, many people write in their journals for themselves alone, so I understand if it's not meant to be read, but I'm passing on the hopefully constructive crit as an outside perspective. Other than that, I love your content. :)

Have you ever run out of room on your page on a day where a lot happened? If you do how do you adjust for that? Last year I used the A6 like this and this year I have been using a Cousin Avec for journaling. I am torn between the two which to use for next year. I looked back at my A6 from 2023 and I love how compact it is and how full my pages look. I have also enjoyed having more room for photos and things in the A5, but I don't particularly like the weeks pages. Deciding is hard! LOL This was a great video.
