I'm a bit late to the party following your videos as I only discovered your channel a month ago! Really enjoying your walks and this bit of East Devon is really special and is a geologists dream! The contrast between Beer chalk and the orangey red sandstone that forms such an amazing backdrop to Sidmouth seafront is stark! I lived in Exeter back in the 90s and like you was a youngster discovering solo walking and having the time of my life. A friend introduced me to several walks that got me hooked - Dartmouth to Torcross, Salcombe to Hope Cove, Exeter Quay to Dawlish and so on. I was blown away and it awakened a sense of wanting to be close to nature. Walking is a great anti depressant and if you let nature guide your senses then every raindrop, ray or sunshine, wave on a beach feels magical and lifts your mood. Anyway thanks to Devon I was inspired to backpack around the world!

Abbie Barnes, this is the first time I have watched any of your videos. Great job. This video was spectacular and beautiful. You do a great job on camera. Your presentation of the Beer and Branscombe was very refreshing. It was almost like I was there with you. My knees almost shaking when thinking how close you were to drop off. Amazing job. My uncle has been to Branscombe. We are planning a huge family trip there. My Branscum family has ancestry from Branscombe. Absolutely breathe taking. I can't wait to visit.

You’re such a natural on camera. Thanks for this video. I was feeling nostalgic for all my childhood holidays to my great aunt’s cottage in Branscombe so it was lovely to watch this! 💕

An excellent video and a cracking walk notwithstanding that it wasn't very long which just goes to prove the old adage that good things do come in small packages! However, wild garlic and a sewage works...glad we don't yet have smellievision!

Awesome walk, Abbie. A portion of the SWCP I've not yet explored. We've had perfect winter walking weather recently; very cold but very dry. A welcome contrast to the grey of January. :-)

Great question! I would love to do this animated somehow but I don't have any plugins and can't afford to buy any right now, but Im aware it would improve the film so much!

Abbie I just have Google Earth open and when you say where you are I search and then follow you on there. I have just been on looking at the coastal walk and the caravan park at Beer and then on to the cliffs. I live in NZ but enjoy following where you wander to. Thank you for the information and inspiration.
