Abby, I enjoyed this video so much and loved hearing about your Mom. I lost my Mom in Aug 2015 and life is just so different without your Mom. My mom was a La Prairie fan and she used it for many years. She is the reason I love luxury skincare and makeup. It’s such a good thing to have those memories with our Moms taking us to the luxury counters and teaching us to take good care of our skin and to enjoy the beautiful perfumes and makeup. How special that was of your Mom to take you for a Chanel makeover when you turned 16. She was a good one!! She sounds a lot like my Mom because she and my grandmother had the same view on not going out unless you were made up and coiffed to a tee! My grandmother always looked like she was going to church everyday!! It sounds like both of us hit the jackpot not only with our mothers, but husbands as well!! Hi Abby, I My Mom and I still share cosmetics. She often gives me her samples because she is allergic to so many ingredients. She likes to give me her Sephora points too, so lucky me. Mom doesn't wear perfume anymore, but she did when I was young. I think she wore Shalimar. We used to go to the stores together back in the 90s and walk along the shopping areas. We would leave the stores sniffing our arms from all the perfumes we tried on. One time we couldn't stop laughing. We said what must people be thinking looking at us walking down the street sniffing our arms. This is a beautiful tribute to your Mom.

When you did the closeup to show the lipstick I could finally see that the Chanel Clair obscur eyeshadows do havd that sort of trademark sheen even though that’s a matte palette. I keep not getting it because I couldn’t tell whether it had the pretty sheen I like. I finally saw it when you did the close up! Thank you! I love blurry grey too abd you know how those shadows are more satiny... well this one is still sheeny and I like it. The lip color looks great on you too and every time you use the pink color corrector i say I’m going to buy it... then don’t. Maybe today! Thanks!!

Could you please compare the Blurry Grey with the Clair-Obscure. Somehow they kind of look the same on screen. Is the Blurry Grey really gray or more to the taupe side? I really like the classic Chanel neutral look but I'm not sure if the Blurry Grey would be to grey or cool. But perhaps the Clair-Obscure would be to warm for my neutral to cool skin tone with grey-green eyes. A side by side swatch would help me so much - I can't find any on the internet. I totally agree that this should be called Blurry Brown. I actually have some similar Chanel products from this look. I have the cream bronzer which I love and the Blackwood eyeliner. I had wanted the Rose Bronze blush but it wasn’t available so I got Rose Petale instead. I do still love it and may just stick with it again. My birthday is next month and I may be ready to treat myself then. Be well and stay safe. Have a great Labor Day!

The Future Skin is a gel-based foundation versus the Sublimage is a tinted moisturizer- so they are both lighter coverage and both are hydrating but one feels more like a moisturizer (the Sublimage). I love BOTH and would probably say the Chanel has a smidge more coverage. I hope this helps. xoxo

I’m wondering if she’s come down like a little faerie 🧚🏼 sitting by your perfumes and smiling💖. Oh my! My mom went to the Sorbonne too...nothing serious 😁...she did a few courses while she was at Finishing School!!! The days of “Debutantes” and marrying “properly”....well, I can tell you that her life was most certainly not what her parents were thinking...all wonderful but far more exciting. Thank goodness that there were 4 other girls to do it right 😜
