For those Lost...”Yene” means mine in Amharic and “habesha” is a term Ethiopians use to refer to themselves, she is singing about how she so happy she ended up with a guy from her country, Ethiopia. and how this is a different kind of love from her past because he’s from her country. Also how she is so comfortable with having someone from her place. She says “I’ve waited for this to happen now it finally does” and towards the end “you don’t have to worry about me your from my country so I’m not going anywhere” The whole song is her expressing her happiness on how she ended up with a guy a from her country. She repeats “yene habesha” “yene habesha” she is saying “my Ethiopian , my Ethiopian” hope this helped 🙂
